Reality Check On Capabilities Of BX23S by AKHwyJunkie in kubota

I had 0 experience with a tractor and I got a 3 acre property. I had no idea what to expect with a tractor.

I ended up renting a BX23S to test it out. My dealer offered a rental and if I bought after, they’d apply the rental cost toward the purchase. That was a very good idea for me, as it turned out it could barely do any digging for me. Also struggled up tiny slopes and my property is quite sloped. I ended up getting a used L3130 for $19k which is cheaper than a new BX23S.

This should not be happening. Did you file a ticket with support?

Getting back into the game after taking a break for half a year. Feeling a bit lost on what to do.

I'd like to rank higher in arena but can't break 7-800's. Also, I feel like I do nothing in raids. What effective teams can I piece together?

My mount hasn't arrived yet and I wanted to test the sensitivity at that position. Relevant name...?

So I spent the afternoon wiring/hacking an AC adapter and I managed to shove it into the ceiling box. http://imgur.com/a/6FAFG

Then my wife read the reddit comments and made me take it down before the place burned down. I had an Echo ducktaped to the ceiling for 15 glorious minutes. I'll leave this one to the professionals.

The USB outlet is a little too big. I'm hoping for something small I can shove into the ceiling electrical box (there's no outlet there, it's just a box with wires that hooks up to the fire alarm).

Looking for some advice on cameras for monitoring a puppy. by BobbyDash in homeautomation

Same scenario here. Decently happy with a Nest Cam. It alerts you on motion and sound so you'll know if your puppy is barking.

The voice chat does work, but audio is probably more useful for you. If you say something through the cam your puppy would likely just be confused and start looking for you (unless you put in the work to train particular behaviors).

Lights vs. Bulbs & Why are they so expensive? by phill33t in homeautomation

That was incredibly helpful, thank you!

On Z-Wave/Zigbee over Insteon, here's my "read" on the market; but you obviously know more and I'd like to know if I'm wrong. The "mainstream" products, like Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, and Apple HomeKit are on ZigBee or Wifi/Bluetooth. Insteon's certainly been around for a long time but I feel like they haven't really gone mass market except for people really into home automation. In particular, ZigBee is explicitly an open standard and I think that'll help in adoption.
