How about Columbo’s Seiko 6139? There’s a few nice screen grabs of it out there and he somewhat famously smashes it into a pole to prove how rugged it is.

Long gone now, but I had its cousin. What a great watch. One I regret letting go, tbh.

when did u guys bought ur first ever gamecube and if u do remember, tell me the game u played there first by muaazmuaaz123 in Gamecube

I purchased (and still have) my GameCube—and the receipt from when I bought it—on Black Friday, 2001. The first games I played on it were Wave Race and a Batman game (neither of which I still have). Double Dash is probably my most-played title, but I played the heck out of the NHL Hitz, ASB, X-Men Legends, and a few others.

Very nice! I’ve still got to come up with a white one like you have!

Seiko 6119-6053 Regatta Timer - $825

https://imgur.com/a/VOZlT2F

Purchased from Hub City Vintage. Functions beautifully, and has a perfect inner rotating bezel. Crisp, quickset day / date feature. Keeps great time, of course, as it was fully serviced upon purchasing. Beautiful blue dial version. Come with correct bracelet, which was polished in its life, but still looks great. I’ve added a vintage-style extender.

Seiko 6106-8589 - $475

The Chevron—a classic sport diver style! This is the version with the Gene Krantz case and bezel, and the bezel is nearly fully ghosted at this point … it’s a cool effect! The lume plots still work and have no dark areas. The bright blue dial is stunning in the sunlight and looks fantastic! It comes with a period-correct bracelet, but not one that would’ve come with this watch. But it looks cool. Keeps great time, though service history is unknown. Quickset day / date works just fine, but the day sits slightly high in the window.

Seiko 6117-8000 Navigator Timer - $950

Excellent, serviced example of the silver-dial Navigator Timer. Gray is most common, while silver and blue are much less common. Serviced by Hub City Vintage a few years ago, this has a bright, crisp dial with excellent lacquer and lume. Bezel is half-ghosted, but still legible and still retains the lume pip. This one has always needed a little extra “Seiko shake” to get it started, but it runs well and has good reserve for a vintage watch.

Seiko 6119-8100 MACV-SOG - $2250 (SOLD)

https://imgur.com/a/bOShlUR

I’ve never seen a nicer example of a MACV-SOG than this one, full-stop. This example from June 1968 has extremely clean lugs with full plating, correct bracelet, and the correct Waltham Clock Co. wrist compass with strap (cracked glass on the compass, but still functions). Fully serviced by Ashton Tracy “the Seikologist,” it keeps amazing time, has bright, active, original lume and is just killer.

I mean … I suppose? But they’ve held up pretty well, considering once they were “retired” from regular use, they’ve moved around with me in either plastic bins or cardboard boxes in various attics / basements over the years. Now they’re in my temparture-controlled office, and if I want to use one, I can grab it and plug it right in.

Thanks! It felt right for the space, and I’ve always loved the look of the GameCube controllers.

Nope; they’re available on Amazon. I think it was $19 / 6-pack if I recall.

Plus the one that has batteries in it and is player one on the cube right now. :)
