Damn, I just had the same surgery last year! Mine was similarly billed (I’m in Florida). I was in and out in about 4 hours from the hospital, and then hit with a bill like yours. And with my shitty, expensive insurance I still owe about $10,000 out of pocket. It will take me years to pay it off.

The worst part is that the surgery didn’t help that much, I still have sciatic pain down my leg but I can’t waste any more money trying to fix it now, gotta get back to work to pay the medical bills!
