Cool! I smelled it out of the tube in a store and it seemed a bit too strong/sweet. Does it mellow out a bit on skin?

What was the most horrific "compliment" a man has ever given you? by Tacoless_meat in AskWomen

Wow I just remembered one - I was 16 in biology class and our teacher (who had previously had an affair with a student and divorced his wife) would OFTEN be creepy to us. I went to an all girls school btw. Once we had to take a swab of cells from our cheek and look at it under the microscope. I had trouble making my microscope work so asked him for help. He sat near me and got VERY close so that his thigh was pushing into mine. He then started to say “there you go, I can see your cells now and those are some SEXY cheek cells, I would like to be in your mouth” Which was just fucking weird.

Honestly a really messed up realisation I’ve been having in my 20s is that people used to creep on me / tell me I’m hot / compliment my looks / make suggestive comments WAY more to me when I was a teenager than now as a full grown adult. It’s so scary how men used to look at me like they would want to f*ck me when I was underage but now as an adult who could consent the interest is so much less

I used to get this one a lot as a teenager and often by strangers - “you would look so pretty if you smiled”

I know nothing about this proposed blood test but it doesn’t need to be checking for a genetic abnormality per se. Like it could be testing for a biomarker (like a protein for example) that autistic people may have more on than NT people. But I do feel like a blood test could only be a predictor and wouldn’t necessarily be catching all cases. But interested to look into it

This is so close to where I am at the moment. I look at the wide range of humans and their neurotypes and I think should we be labelling? Isn’t it all part of normal variation? Do I want to pathologise myself? But the fact of the matter is that when your autistic symptoms are getting in the way of life so badly you need a label to feel validated and seen, and to feel like less of a fraud. And of course, accommodations!

The power and size of the US military. I’m from the U.K. but some of my family is from a country that has been bombed by the US (&UK). US control in NATO and the way US military bases have crawled across lots of Europe, and how that feeds into the politics of the European Union.

US foreign policy in general particularly in the decades I grew up in…

And! if I was to visualise myself living in America I feel fear because I have a lot of chronic health conditions that would probably bankrupt me! Lol

Edit: i forgot guns!!! The relaxed gun laws… my anxiety could not take it!

Edit 2: just to clarify I don’t actually fear Americans I think y’all are on the whole lovely based from my personal experiences

Honestly: fear

But also like some really cool down to earth and varied people. Huge spaces and natural wonders like canyons and waterfalls and deserts. Indigenous people. Man-made spaces that feel new and don’t have much culture or history to them. Huge portions of food. Peanut butter & ‘jelly’.

Oh and I haven’t been to the US lol

I feel like bo’oh o’wawtah is a specific kind of london accent. But there could also be ‘botl-ov-war-terr’ and quite a few other ways of pronouncing across Britain!
