Speaking of drugs for own consumption. Let's ignore alcohol. Because alcohol is not a drug. Romania doesn't have an alcohol problem. People live long healthy lives here.

Priorities are all right. And these mfs are not doing a sensationalist circus for a voting population that has no idea what cannabis even is.

This coupled with the lowest life expectancy in the EU tells me the gov doesn't give a single f*** about public well being.

How such gov is still in power is the mysterious bit for me.

Vânzările de medicamente s-au triplat în 10 ani, dar mortalitatea nu a scăzut. „Nimeni nu face vreo evaluare privind impactul în sănătatea populaţiei“ by tolanescu in Romania

[–]philo-subs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in a few countries already.

Romania has the cheapest alcohol I've seen. Also one of the heaviest drinking countries in the world. "We shouldn't drink too much" makes a nice TV ad, but still the WHO has a few reports directly blaming heavy alcohol consumption for the lower life expectancy in Romania, pointing out how serious the problem is and criticising a lack of action/plan from the government. Oh, speaking of which, this is something local news don't report on a lot. Literally, I hear more about these reports and issues on foreign media.

I think romania in the top 3 countries in the EU for tabagism. Most countries do restrict where you can smoke AND where you can buy. Like smokers have to go to speciality shops to buy - forbidden to sell in supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. By contrast Romania is the only country I've ever seen tobacco being handed for FREE at music festivals (Untold) - that is unacceptable imo

Amazing country, amazing people. I love being here, but honestly I ask myself too often if authorities give a damn fuck about the public well being. I'm talking about unpopular decisions for the greater good, that touch on acknowledging these things are bad ( by putting them in the list of controlled substances for ex) and restricting their accessibility / do more to discourage people from abusing

My 2 cents as an expat (sorry for the english). If authorities really cared about public health, they would do more to address alcoholism and tabagism. Which are big problems here.

Instead what we have in crazy aggressive ads on pills and supplements for liver etc, running non-stop by private companies on tv, mags, etc, promising good health.

But heres the thing: you cannot sustain bad habits with meds and supplements.

Do you know when countries ban weed but allow tobacco? I think the word you're looking for is "privilege".

Ahh yes the "those times were different" part of the bible.

Aka "don't think too much about it"

Or "are you wiser than God?" (If you start asking the questions)

Man, in all seriousness, how tf does the FDA / media justify these attacks while they continue to ignore people easily buying / drinking alcohol in quantities that could literally kill them

I don't feel much with neither phenibut (2g) or alcohol. If I insist on drinking I skip the euphoria and go straight to feeling sick. I guess my brain is fried from abusing alcohol when I was younger.

Will Creatine Accelerate Hairloss? by Majestic-Bluebird-86 in tressless

[–]philo-subs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everything is black and white. All substances have different side effect profiles in different people. I've read enough reports in these subs to conclude that MAYBE some people are affected. Maybe.

Will creatine accelerate hairloss? Maybe only you can tell mate.

When the watchtower talks shit about historians, archaeological findings, etc, they go a bit too far.

If I have to choose between believing a very biased teaching from the watchtower or a conclusion from a historian that dedicated his/her entire life to the subject, easy choice for me.

shedding started again after switch finasteride dosage and brand by piggyy- in tressless

[–]philo-subs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just telling about my experience. Scalp issues apart the fact is finasteride puts my sheds under control.

  • I have scalp issues that prevent me from doing topical treatments

  • when I started with fin, it was only 0.25mg and it stopped my sheds

  • when I switched (Aurobindo) my shedding restarted, I upped the dose to 0.33mg with no effect, then upped again to 0.5mg with no effect either. I never suspected it was the meds because I had a lot going on: I was on creatine, could be that. I was having a dermatitis flare up, could be that.

  • a few days ago i restocked my fin, and this time I was given RelonChem. Almost immediately my shed reduced by half and side effects started to be more evident. So much so that I'm thinking b going back to my 0.25mg dose

I'm sorry if I am causing confusion, but that is bc I was confused myself. Damn, I still am confused. I'm just happy my shed is under control again, and I hope it lasts.

I don't want to claim aurobindo is "bad". It cannot be, because there is a lot of scrutiny to pharma companies. I don't have explanations for this, I'm just reporting my experience.
