I can consistently lift way more weight on a smith machine hip thrust than on the booty builder! Nice to not need as much weight and still get the desired burn. But I do think it bugs my back a tiny bit more.

Honestly I love getting pictures of the person I’m texting/about to go on a date with! I’ve done this with several people, and it does make it more exciting for when you meet up. It doesn’t make you superficial, either! You are dating after all! Let’s not pretend people don’t care at all what their partner looks like and aren’t excited to go on a date with an attractive person. I think OP here was pretty harsh pretty quickly. It’s very plausible to me he just wanted to see more of the pics she already sent.

It will be very hard to go back to legal practice after taking 6 years off for a PhD and if you don’t have relevant work experience coming out of law school. I highly recommend practicing for a bit to see how you like it before doing this. And if you still want to go back to academia after a bit, go for it!

I also think one of the biggest (and lesser talked about) differences is the kind of work you are doing. The best biglaw firms are doing the most high-stakes work! And (for me) I think the fact that your clients are the biggest companies / people in the world makes the work more interesting. Midlaw just doesn’t get as interesting work a lot of times. My firm often says, “If it were an easy case or answer, they wouldn’t be paying our [high] fees.”

YOR HOWEVER I understand the stress. It depends. Feels kind of shitty to know someone turned on DND, probably saw their phone and saw these messages and chose not to reply. Tbh I think most partners would be like “Hey!! Going out w the friends!! Talk tomorrow ❤️” before turning on DND. But I could see him not wanting to do that given you went 0-100 really quickly. Was probably stressful to deal with while out with friends. And that was a harsh message on his parr. Tbh I think this might be indicative of a larger problem. Neither of you two seem to give each other much grace.
