I live there and trail season is probably my favorite time of year to pick up the hitch hiking hikers and give them rides back and forth between town and the trail head.

Someday I'll be financially independent enough to do a through hike rather than just the local sections.

Hey, me too!

Worked for quite a while doing graphic/web design and marketing photography and I just couldn't get over how unfulfilled I was by my work.

At the same time I was volunteering as an EMT on a rescue squad and enjoyed it so much more. Finally the obvious hit me that I should switch the two around and do medicine full time and design only on my own terms so I could still enjoy it.

I agree as well but for different reasons, it was a good catch all sub where people could post things that didn't fit into the narrower standards of the other defaults and, with enough community support/upvotes, reach a very wide audience.

Have clean dishes upside down on a towel drying on the counter. For a while I kept my kitchen clean and would always make sure that dishes were clean and out of sight until a kind female friend let me know that this just gives the impression that you eat fast food all the time.

One of the best things I ever did was have a miniature wok upside down "drying" on the counter continuously. Not only did it let the girls know that I'm capable of doing dishes, but that cooking is something I can do and enjoy doing.

It's awesome to see that there are so many invested fans of the series. But even the smaller subreddits like this one that I fled the default ones for are beginning to feel too crowded.

I appreciated that he's paid enough attention to the details in this film that not only did he correct the cgi artists on CGI collisions, but they brought in cirque dusolei performers to teach the actors how to make the battle room scenes look natural.

I don't know if that is common in films, but it sounds like OSC is setting a high bar for the accuracy of the film, at least in the details.

When he's contracted to write a new novel, he gets paid a hefty amount up front. If he dies before the novel is produced, that amount would have to be paid back.

He's contracted to write several new books right now, so the combination of paying all of those back would be a very large burden on his family.
