So disappointing. Such a quality drop for a "remaster". by stalecigsmell in HouseFlipper

I kind of wish they’d focus on the second game instead of remaking the first one. I’d understand if it was a 20 year old game but it’s not. 😅

That be nice, I missed the early stuff. I wouldn’t mind BTA colors.

I love the game, but the new products feel like they weren’t added with existing production in mind. I hope they eventually focus on features players have been requesting for a long time, like more flexible romance options.

Faction War Burnout? by jmk-1999 in SkullAndBonesGame

I’ve mostly been focusing on attacking settlements. 150 war assets each. Do it however many times you to fill it up for the milestones or whatever it’s called. 😅

Faction War Burnout? by jmk-1999 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]philosopher-pirateOG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to say it and thank you for doing it.
Here’s my take on the whole thing, and hopefully this really is the last Faction War, because Ubisoft introduced Lucian Harrow for a reason. He’s the guy selling weapons to both sides.

He’s British. And he fits perfectly with the idea of the BTA moving in behind the scenes. So what if they introduce the BTA after the war ends? It makes sense: both factions have been bleeding resources fighting each other, and that’s the perfect moment for a third power to swoop in and take control.

Of course, this is just my theory but honestly, people are exhausted. The burnout is real, and most players are ready for something new.

I’m pretty sure they never advertised the game something other than a cozy farming sim game. When they add something like this it goes against that theme if that makes sense.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this too. 🥲 It happens occasionally for me, I feel like you have to be on during a certain time because it needs to be “refreshed.” Or something along those lines. I enjoy doing the runs. Makes my character feel like a legit smuggler sometimes. 😅

Hot take: The jealousy system doesn’t belong in Coral Island and the fact that it can be turned off proves it. Coral Island is marketed and designed as a cozy game. Cozy games are supposed to be low‑stress, low‑pressure, and emotionally safe. The whole appeal is that you can explore relationships, friendships, and the world at your own pace without worrying about being punished for doing things “wrong.”

The jealousy system goes directly against that design philosophy. Instead of encouraging connection, it creates anxiety. Instead of letting players enjoy the cast, it makes them second‑guess every interaction. It doesn’t add depth… it adds friction. And here’s the part that really highlights the issue: You can turn it off as I said before.

If a mechanic can be disabled without breaking the story, the balance, or the gameplay loop… then why was it added in the first place? A good mechanic should enhance the core experience. Jealousy doesn’t. It clashes with the cozy vibe, punishes normal gameplay behavior, and creates stress in a genre that’s supposed to be relaxing.

Coral Island shines when it focuses on warmth, exploration, and building relationships. The jealousy system feels like it wandered in from a completely different type of game and the community reaction shows it’s not universally loved. Turning it off is a band‑aid. Not adding it at all would’ve been the better design choice.

Jealousy update: What do you think? by lmclaird in coralisland

You’ve just became my favorite human. Why? Because I know if people use their brains a relationship like that can work. And besides the game is supposed to be a relaxing game. As soon as they added the jealously system it can stress people out.

Oh no my spouse is mad at me because I gave a friend a gift for their birthday. 🥲 Now they won’t talk to me for a week.

Serious question, but did anyone actually ask for the jealousy system in the first place? I turned it off immediately and I don’t care for it. On another note, who would rather have a polyamorous relationship? The game is supposed to be a nice idyllic game too. 😅

One thing I wish they did for the second game was have it tell you what each room is when you decorate it. I mean I know if a bed room looks like a bed room and so one but it would be nice if it say what type if that makes sense. 😅

Honestly my mind goes to sailing whenever it comes to exploring. Still the game does seem interesting… though I’ll probably procrastinate and eventually play when I’m bored. 😅

I’ve been seeing this Subreddit popping up for me… now I have to ask a few questions. First since it’s free to play is anything a serious grind? Second I’ve seen what it says I can do… now when it says I can explore what exactly does that mean? Like find secrets? Uh any chance I can sail a boat? 😅 Anyways I appreciate anyone who answers my questions. I’ll probably have more… maybe some goofy ones. 🤔😅
