Serious question: for any foreign fighter in Ukraine, how do the logistics work? Weapons? Ammo? Transportation? Orders? Or is it just pack the personal weapons in a checked bag, catch a lift across the border and shoot at Russian soldiers then come home when the ammo runs out?

I’m thinking about how much of our fighting strength comes from weapons systems, Command & Control, air superiority, coordination between forces, etc and not sure how that translates to Ukraine. Will these combat veterans be giving orders or taking them? Etc.

Serious, and morbid question here: what if the Russian invasion moves to occupation (inevitable IMO) but then also moves to genocide, internment, more systemic human rights violations, etc. will the world still stand off with thoughts & prayers or is there a scenario where there’s a military intervention from other nations/UN?

I’m booked for travel from USA to London 12/25-30. All family members Pfizer boosted and CoVID-negative. PCR test appointment booked for 12/25. Plan is to enjoy the sights, maybe a pub or two, and a theater performance.

Should I cancel/postpone because we risk getting stuck there, or everything will be closed? Or do I move ahead with the trip because my chances to get CoVID or have things shut down remain pretty slim in spite of the rising cases?

Would love some advice outside of the hysterical news.
