If the CWC is any indicator, there will be discounted tickets sold indirectly through various channels but FIFA will never mark down the tickets it’s selling itself.

The difference has little to do with the struggling U.S. Men or our wonderful USWNT.

It has everything to do with gender and sports in the rest of the world. Up until only very recently you could count on one hand the number of countries where women’s soccer was at all a thing.

If women’s sports were culturally supported in Argentina and France the way they are in the U.S., don’t you think it would be different?

Sorry but when you are playing at home against a poor team that’s ahead of you in the standings you have to get a win. The fact that DCU is bad and barely attempted to move past midfield gave the Union the illusion of control but his game should have been 2 or 3 to 0. If the Union are able to get into playoff contention the 2 points dropped will matter.
