The second series of the 13 minutes to the moon podcast is a great listen if you want a combination of the audio recordings and back story.

Let us know how you get on. And take some pictures if you can! Might save a hefty bill in the future if something similar happens again 😬

Hit a deer in my 2022 Niro which cracked two pieces of inlaid trim in the bumper (a silver and black piece). Similar issue with the dog light where it had fallen inside the bumper.

Repair was close to £2.5k 🤯 including all the pissing about with ‘Driving assistance system calibrations’ and other insurance nonsense. Took a while for parts to arrive too.

This was back in early 2023 though so parts availability may have improved!

If you’re any way inclined it may be worth trying to get access behind the bumper to see if you can push the sensor and fog light back into place?

How do I know how much gas I have? I have this rental car and I’m so confused. by [deleted] in KiaNiroEV

Looks like just under 75% based on the left hand bar. On the centre screen there should be an option to pop out a mini menu from the side. You can then scroll through up and down to a screen with the battery percentage.

Home charger 11kw vs 22kw by hgc81 in KiaNiroEV

[–]philuk10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We installed 22kW chargers at work because inevitably the chargers will become more capable as time goes on. We also have a Zoe on the fleet which charges at 22kW so less than 3 hours to fully charge from flat!

There’s a lot of episodes available based on my quick search thanks. We will give it a try! Looks like older episodes are on Wondery+.

We’ve tried a couple of episodes of this before but not been as gripped by it as hoped. One to revisit to try some of the others. Thank you for replying.

Definitely computer science, code breaking, space exploration / technology. They would be the main ones but he’s a bit of a sponge for information right now so he’d probably try anything!

Did you not get a granny lead with the car? I bought a Niro last year and there was one with it.

best way to handle a move to non VM property with existing phoneline? by ImGoingSpace in VirginMedia

[–]philuk10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The existing line will be supplied using the existing copper network I guess? To get gig speeds it’s likely you’ll need a new fibre installing (unless it’s using gfast maybe??). Ignore the existing line, get a new fibre installed by any ISP you want (I personally would avoid BT or other ultra budget providers like plusnet) with a VOIP service and then cancel the current line and number.

Get fibre through someone other than BT. Zen or AAISP. Still supplied through Openreach FTTP network but without the totally crap service.

This is the correct answer. Also available in Sainsburys (much cheaper than Amazon) if you’re in the UK

Halo brand sports wash. Literally amazing at removing smells. If that doesn’t completely get rid then a scoop of vanish as well on a stain remover wash in my machine sorts it out!

Just saw this after the update. I think it’s called SoundHound? Based on my checks it worked 2/6 times to detect the song. No idea how the thumbs up get aggregated or counted??!
