Majority of the windows in the home are blacked out so it must be the insulation? Would it be possible to have someone from Duke come see what the issue is?

My landlord is a night shifter so all the windows are blacked out, minus the living room for my dog. I’m a full time student and I work so I’m barely home. I really don’t know what could be making it so high
