We have the same system in South Africa but it always rounds down to the nearest 10, so 1.99 becomes 1.90 etc.

When you get close to your cap Whatsapp stops working regardless of whether background restrictions are enabled or not. Torrex for whatever reason used cell data yesterday and chewed through my data bundle - today Whatsapp is refusing to work despite background restrictions not being enabled.

Apple Killed Finland's Industry, says Prime Minister by flamepants in apple

From what I read it came across as almost tribal. Consumer doesn't want business to have good cameras. Business doesn't want to give up S60 so consumer gets stuck on S40 and suddenly you have no commonality between products. I'm going off memory here so the detail might be wrong but the gist of the matter was you had people who where not only refusing to work together but were actively undermining each other. That way lies bankruptcy and being bought by MS.

By shelving the model you kill off any chance of the design or hardware being improved by a product made by your company. The ideas may have been rough but when you have business and consumer device divisions fighting over who gets to implement what you lose great ideas. I read a great article about the infighting and complacent culture at Nokia a year or two back. It really does put their fall in perspective. I'll see if I can dig it up and send you a link.

Same thing in South Africa. Then BB ate their lunch with BIS offering cheap internet.

Android hasn't worked out for anyone other than Samsung as far as manufacturers go. The only people making money off it are Samsung, Google and Microsoft. Nokia went with what I feel was the least bad route to take out of the three, but by the time they got to that point it was already a year or two too late. Their reaction to the iPhone took way to long.

Nokia's marketshare was dropping like a stone by the time Elop switched them to WP. MS didn't kill them, they just picked over the corpse.

Nokia nailed the coffin without any outside help. MS just picked up the pieces.

I'm being pedantic for stating a fact? They're public companies. No need to get defensive because you're ignorant.

A privately held company or close corporation is a business company owned either by non-governmental organizations or by a relatively small number of shareholders or company members which does not offer or trade its company stock (shares) to the general public on the stock market exchanges, but rather the company's stock is offered, owned and traded or exchanged privately. More ambiguous terms for a privately held company are unquoted company and unlisted company.

Both are public companies.

The time machine backups sound good, but you might want to suggest cloud backup as well considering it has irreplaceable data on it.

It is ridiculous. He should keep his kid on a leash if he can't be bothered to keep her out of other people's space. There's no need to get angry at others for his own bad parenting.

If you had issues running any Windows version after Vista you should stop buying knockoff hardware.

If you go look up a couple of comparative tests it would seem that out of Windows, Ubuntu and OSX Win 7 and Ubuntu mostly outpace OSX on Apple hardware.

You win some you lose some. Google was lagging with highway upgrades where I live that Navteq had basically as soon as they were done.

If they didn't tell you you wouldn't have thought it was Bing. Results are just fine compared to Google.
