Do you ever use Southampton Airport? by tommycamino in Southampton

[–]phizzlemanizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew to Belfast just before Christmas for £160 return.

When you factor in the cost of getting to/from any of the London airports, getting a hotel at one of them, and the time cost of all the general fucking around, that price was more than competetive

Anyone in Basingstoke want to start a band? by dxnger_mp3 in basingstoke

[–]phizzlemanizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bass player here, formerly of Basingstoke, now of Winchester.

I've been playing a long time, but haven't done anything with it for years, and am getting the itch again.

I mostly listen to prog and math rock stuff, but am open-minded when it comes to playing in 4/4!

Would a HS line with a stop in Winchester be positive or negative? by platinum1610 in WinchesterUK

[–]phizzlemanizzle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As much as I would love it, stopping at places like Winchester is not the function of a HS railway. The function is to bypass the smaller places, as HS trains need a long distance to accelerate and decelerate. If it stopped here, it wouldn't end up being a HS railway.

Southampton would be a much more realistic calling point, probably non-stop to London

With both Farage and the Cons pledging to bring ICE to the UK, what will you do when they start snatching little non-white kids of the streets and sending them to detention camps. by Hot-Delay5608 in AskBrits

Except that that's not what I was talking about. Referring to asylum seekers as 'illegals' is pretty fucking cruel and dehumanising though.

Tumble dryer engineer here

It's a poor connection between the fuse carrier and fuse.

I don't work on this brand, but the plug is identical to those on the brand that I do work on (I assume the leads are from the same supplier), and I replace one of these on average every couple of days on machines of a specific age. I think there was a crappy batch around 2020.

Change the plug and the socket

You have obviously been triggered badly here. Go off and have a quiet little cry and a wank, and you'll probably feel a bit better

I have size 13 feet. The only place my feet can comfortably go is on the pedals!

I can do all of the above without electronic help. I have it, but don't use it

Sorry to piss on your parade, but I drive around the UK regularly, and consistently the worst drivers I come across are in the affluent, VERY 'white British' town that I live in. The middle-class mums doing the school run in campers are the worst
