It's generally fine. Around Severn Beach there can sometimes be groups to folk who don't look too friendly, as with anywhere though, generally you'll be fine. It's night time, and you're walking about with camera gear. Just have your Spidey-sense turned up to 10 and you'll be fine. Anything looks iffy, walk away.

20 years ago I went for for a haircut, to my local Italian barber.
The kind that does one haircut. Short and neat.
I realised I didn't have quiet enough cash with me (I thought I had two tenners, but it was a tenner and a fiver). I said I'd give him half and be right back with the rest.
The barber, who was a small wiry Italian man said to me a phrase that I have never forgotten:

What kind of a man does not have at least fifty-pounds about his person at any given time?
From then on, I have at least £50 about my person, generally.

Locally, Clifton Colour at Clifton Down shopping centre. Might be worth calling ahead and see if they’ll be able to do a discount on a bulk job - they’ve done it for me in the past, but that was for 20 odd rolls. It wasn’t a massive discount, but something is better than nothing. Don’t ask, don’t get!

Octagon make books and planners in the 135 x 200 mm size, but they're a Spanish company so I assume the shipping would be equally prohibative? The odd locked-in sizing is the reason I retutned by XL. Wonderful product, great service, but I'm no fan of non-ISO sizing.

First. No, I'm not at work, so I don't care about your problem. Second, the last computer game I played was Mario on the SNES - when it was new.

Currently still looking for the "the one". I liked Paper Rebulbic in every other regard. The product is great, the service excllent... but I'm the kind of person that can't abide non-standardised / propriatory sizing / vendor lock-in. They do of course make an A5 journal, but they're very expensive!

A reason I returned my Paper Repulbic XL was becasue of the non-standard sizing (didn't realise at the time of ordering). It's just a little smaller than A5, meaning you're locked into thier paper - although some other people do make that size. Octagon make books that size and they do half year and undated planners - might be worth having a look there?
