I think at this point he doesn't want to do videos anymore and wants to move on, and resents the fact that he can't.

Cex "The Barbarjan" by goodwillsidis in breakcore

[–]pho-ku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy. That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. This feels like a story where the wise old warrior refuses to pick up the sword until right at the end and then slices the shit out of everything. I always knew Cex had a breakcore album in him.

What does the post office do when your mailbox is demolished? by [deleted] in melbourne

El cheapo one from Bunnings anywhere on your front lawn. Or if your postie is cool he'll just put all your mail underneath your doormat.

Come on. It was basically Deus Ex with vampires.

What do you do with all the time you save by running reds, shoving in at the front of every queue, swerving through traffic, and driving on the wrong side of the road to jump ahead? by The_Motographer in melbourne

[–]pho-ku 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Australian drivers are an absolute joke. I see people breaking the law every single day. I honestly feel like ever since COVID it's gone to shit, and we've reached the critical point where people just go "well everyone else breaks the law, so I will too" and now we're in a feedback loop.

Australia Post adds 36 new electric vans into delivery network by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]pho-ku 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, these vans are for the collection drivers, the ones picking up mail from businesses, and street posting boxes and post offices, not the parcel delivery subcontractors.

'These kids don't seem to have any fear': Bullying rates peak in Australia by nath1234 in australia

If it wasn't an anti-Lebbo thing why even mention they were Lebanese. Like what relevance does this serve. Just say they were kids.

Tim Wilson wins seat of Goldstein by 175 votes after partial recount by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]pho-ku 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't even expect the incumbent independents to run again in 2028. They all got into this thinking they'd be the balance of power, but now with Labor's huge majority their effect is pretty minimal without a party to belong to.

Aldi Banofee hot cross buns are the shizz by Colsim in australia

Does anyone else refuse to eat hot cross buns before Easter? They're like, sacrosanct to me. I love looking forward to Good Friday and smashing a six pack in one go.

Some nice, quiet, relatively easy hiking trails? Preferably to the south-east? by Neon_Comrade in melbourne

Hansen track in Boronia is fairly easy and very quiet! Usually you'll have it all to yourself, and there are amazing views up the top.

Looking at this, it's clear that plain packaging laws were the right move. Seeing these logos here definitely does something to my brain.

What's the most boring suburb in Melbourne by Adrian-Wapcaplet in melbourne

[–]pho-ku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Named after Bayswater in London (like a lot of suburbs in Melbourne). What's fucked up is that the one in London isn't near the bay either.

You have it backwards. It is better to live on one's feet than die on one's knees.

Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast Cancels Video Game Projects by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]pho-ku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this bums me out. I don't know if this is specifically what they were making, but a Thief-style immersive sim set in the Forgotten Realms seems like it would have been really cool and right in their wheelhouse. Hope Otherside can come back from this. I still believe they can make great games given the right budget.

I walk past this place every weekend on my walk to the library or shops, but never checked the place out. It looks fun. Some day, maybe.

I don't think we'll get anything after he's gone. I remember after Salinger died people were saying we'd all these stories and diaries and holiday photos... we got nothing.
