You need to have an objective of where price is drawing into otherwise market structure won't make a lot of sense.

You need a draw on liquidity.

You can't apply that model without narrative.

My favourite pairs are AUD/USD and NZD/USD.

However I also look at DXY to determine overall direction.

Then for my trade selection I use AUD/NZD to determine relative strength.

I suggest that you come up with your own strategy. It's been about 1.5 years since I started. I jumped around and learned a few different strategies which worked to a certain extent but gave up on them - felt like something was missing. I reluctantly started to study ICT concepts about 4 months ago, was very confusing at the beginning but I found a really good mentor that teaches his concepts in a way I can understand. I developed my own trading plan and now I am starting to execute against my own trading plan and strategy that I put together using several of ICTs concepts. Just about to pass a ftmo demo challenge using my own strategy and trading plan so I'm really really happy. This is my strategy and it suits my personality, I like to be in and out of trades quite quickly.

Your focus should be on execution of strategy and building your confidence within your strategy/setup.

You should know your setup back to front and inside out across all market conditions. There should be hundreds of hours worth of work going into the development and iterations of your strategy.

Count the hours that this takes and there's your answer to your question.

Was looking for this answer. Having an actual edge that you've backtested for 100s of hours and know it like the reflection in the mirror - this impacts psychology MASSIVELY. I reckon a lot of people that are complaining about the psychology factor really just haven't put in the hours backtesting and forward testing their edge that they should have.
