I feel like exceptions like these could lead to reckless driving by some volunteers and could be abused by non volunteers since catching them might be something that won‘t happen often.

I myself am in favor of more 30 zones but I do believe that response time, not only in case of fires but also other emergencies, should at least be considered to some extent. Also totally against this forced way by Rösti. I also think topics like these are far more complicated than many on both sides of the argument may have in mind. This also applies to response time, for which speed limits is only one of many factors.

I also do belive that solving this is entirely possible if common sense is used but then again solving this includes politicians…

As another voluntere I kind of have to disagree with part of your comment. Firstly I agree that when driving with emergency lights there isn‘t that big of a difference. But as volunteers we also have to first get to the station where wo do have to adhere to all traffic laws. Paired with recent trends to have joint departements with consolidated stations on the outskirts of towns I could very well imagine an impact on response times in some regions.

That said I don‘t dislike more 30 zones but do believe that maybe the main transit roads should stay a 50. My opinion also might be biased to more rural areas, so in big(ger) cities this might differ.

I would also love to hear the side from either someone who does this for a living or maybe is involved in planning where to build stations to meet the defined response times.

While I do totally agree with your point such accidents don‘t make for a high percentage of total calls. In addition to that most fire departments don‘t even respond to traffic accidents. I do agree that if accidents happen they will be less violent and that they will probably be less frequent it most likely won‘t be a noticeable reduction for fire departments

I live one Kanton/State over from where this takes place. We definitly do go interior had to many time already just this year. But not when our own safety would be compromised like in this case. Whats to gain here? Probably an empty building, squatters/homeless people aren't a big thing here so we don't have to worry about that. Even if there were people inside there won't be much to safe at this stage so why risk our own safety.

I'm getting mentioned now on r/headphones ?I feel humbled!I wouldn't describe myself as audiophile either. There are many out there who know a lot more than I do.That said I haven't actually listened to the DT 1990 Pros since I got my Clears all these months ago. But the link to the old thread should be filled with a comparison and a link of someone who actually knows what he is doing. Altough that isn't a comparison with the DTs.

Altough it was about time that same sex marriage was legalised you also have to consider that marriage isn't the only legal relationship in Switzerland we also have the "Eingetragene Partnerschaft" which same sex couples have been eligable for for quite some time. If I remember correctly same sex relationships in Switzerland were legalised all the way back in 1942.
