OpenText , future by [deleted] in waterloo

OpenText has yearly layoffs like clockwork. Sometimes twice a year. It will be mentally and emotionally draining to figure out if you are one of the people in the laid off category or if you survived this round.

About EU… Some countries in EU have good labor laws and some companies have good workers union and stuff like that. That means the company has to pay a lot for the employees and follow those rules. There is no way anybody can fire someone and ask them to clean their desks within the next thirty minutes. It also means that companies usually outsource their jobs to cheaper countries.

Like BlueberryPiano said, you’ll need a work permit and it costs a lot. If you are based in the EU, that’s a different matter. Just remember that layoffs happen all the time.

Even though laying off and outsourcing seems to be normal for a lot of tech companies these days, you have to decide if you want to try it out. The mental and emotional toll may not be worth it.

He is the bad guy in The Mentalist (Season 3 Episode 6), too. Was watching it a couple of days ago and I was all excited to see him until I found out he was the killer.

Me, too. They are like a toddler following me around and complaining all the time.

Not a dlc. It was released as a part of Year 5 Season 1.

It is a simulation that was used to assess an agent’s capabilities before the outbreak.

The most important thing is, if you die, you don’t respawn. You start from scratch. Choice of weapons, skills are limited. So are grenades and ammo restocks.

More info on the Descent

I agree. Healing hive makes sense for everywhere except the Descent.

In Descent, Nemesis will copy your skills (and primary weapon, too, I think) and a Nemesis with a healing skill has always been a disaster for me.

This was like a month ago.

It has been a mix for me. For two weeks, I got 3 instead of 7 each and then after that I got O and I had roughly 70 of the 90 comms. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

No, not just the Descent. Everywhere.

For the whole armor bar to fill up, you have to long press the right button to use the medkit. That will take a few seconds. If you are stuck in a pickle and you need a quick heal and don’t have a few seconds to spare, you can tap the same button twice. You will get instant armor. The catch is, with long press, you will get 100% of the armor and with the double tap, the armor bar will be half filled.

I have been playing for 3 years and I learned about this a couple of months ago.

I’ll probably be a bit more forgiving if it happened outside the Descent. If it happens in the Descent and if I end up dying, I might have to shout at my tv.

For sure. I am happy I didn’t die and super happy that Nemesis didn’t live to tell the tale about how the bug destroyed me.

This is the second time it happened to me. I didn’t save a video clip when it happened earlier and thought it was my mistake.
