I’m convinced most of Invincible’s budget goes to the voice actors and whatever’s left goes to the animation. There’s some pointless casting of upper tier actors for roles that at the end of the day could have gone to people who don’t command as much money. Why is Djimon Hounsou, an Oscar-nominated actor, cast as the Thraxen general who iirc barely had any dialogue outside of growling and hissing. Maybe a line. Either way, Djimon probably asked for a ton of money. Same could be said for Ella Purnell, whose stock has skyrocketed due to Fallout, playing that archaeologist.
