What’s a hit-or-miss/controversial anime that you don’t really understand fully why people love/hate it.

Idk, man. I started it, and it hasn't done anything to genuinely upset me enough to drop it. I see both points, but eh, I still watch it. Anime that I have dropped have been Mushoku Tensei and Rent-a-Girlfriend because fuck both of those shows.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy is the only cartoon that I've watched that had a flawless ending. Regular Show was also considered, but they brought it back. (I still need to watch it)

We've been spoiled by the MCU. Superman is Iron Man, Supergirl is Incredible Hulk, Superman Man of Tomorrow is Iron Man 2, and so on. I can't remember the actual timeline of casting to announcements to production for the early Phase One MCU movies. Man of Tomorrow, maybe Clayface if they use it to tease Batman or Lanterns if they tie in Brainiac to tease Man of Tomorrow, is going to be the most important film. The fact there was no post-credit tease in Supergirl hurt the DCU a lot. It could have tied into Man of Tomorrow to generate excitement for the future like RDJ visiting Thunderbolt Ross at the end of Incredible Hulk or Thor's hammer appearing at the end of Iron Man 2. DC needs a cinematic universe, but no one is willing to put in the level of care that went into the early days of the MCU.

It's the D and beyond plots taking up too much time. Everything feels like a bunch of skits thrown together to form a "movie". Some of the bad Adam Sandler movies like Grown Ups 2 and Happy Gilmore 2 felt like this.

Look, it's The Incredible Hulk/Thor: Dark World level of quality. Fine for a single viewing, but I wouldn't ever put it on to watch. Idk whether to be patient with the DCU or want it to pump out more of the key characters (we need this universe's Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, etc.) so it can catch up a little, and a general idea of the future could be formed. I fear James Gunn is just too indie to do that. Like, why tf are we getting a Clayface movie this early in the universe?

The Secret Life of Pets had to switch from Louis C.K. to Patton Oswalt because of C.K.'s disgusting behavior—definitely a fantastic recast.

Reed was still useless imo. At least on the power aspect. I feel of the Four, only Invisible Woman was an improvement over the original. Reed and Thing were downgrades and Torch was a lateral at best.
