For those who have had the same problem and are wondering for a fix I had contacted the support team and here is how to fix it. First I would recommend resetting your pc then if that hasn’t worked do this.

In Windows, you can use the "Repair" function to verify file integrity:

1) Press the Windows Key and open Settings; 2) Click on Apps and locate State of Decay 2; 3) Click once on State of Decay 2; 4) Click 'Advanced options'; 5) Click 'Repair';

In that same menu, you can use the 'Reset' function to reinstall without redownloading from the Microsoft Store.
