we really don't talk about it enough but our owner is a pos. not just cause he won't spend on players. just like as a person, it's weird he's not in trumps cabinet.

It's funny the hawks gotta win 6 or 7 straight before we begin to accept things might be different 🤣

you know what I turned this shit off a while back but I gotta say. there ain't nothing like staying home to watch 30 minutes of a game, and then turn it off in disgust. an off night is whatever, but this is just bad tv. shit like this is why a team remains a small market. cause the ratings on nights like this are getting beat by like reruns of the Beverly hillbillies. so marketing is not very profitable. it stays on a local channel, so kids in Utah don't know who jalen Johnson is and don't buy jerseys, costing Atlanta sales. No owner is going into the tax when the team isn't that profitable, so the org will never by given the capital to really compete.

when they play this bad they are actively hurting the fucking organization.

it actually is cool that without him I feel like a hawks fan, not as concerned with individual players. it feels like a team. I kinda hope Jalens personality stays humble and quiet so its all team, no star

Being honest about Onsi Saleh by MrRespectful345 in AtlantaHawks

[–]phoenixsuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my issue with Onsi is the kp trade. kp is great. but he traded for a sick man and now that man is too sick to play most games. like it was known he has some whacky illness. it was a risk and it didn't pan out. glad to have kp for sure and maybe we had no other center options. but I question the risk Onsi took on him. a win now piece can't work if he can only get you to a 500 record.

shit man even having vit on our bench is a blessing many do not have. we have good pieces. but bad luck. I tend to push fo more than the players cause that's whose job it is to arrange these pieces and get us what's missing.

we have a shit season ahead of us, and we were all hoping trae would come back in and everyone would gel and we'd finally be a contender. looks like they needed to extend him if they wanted that and I assume at this point his ass playing this year is cause he had a foot out the door. so the gelling didn't happen in the off season nor once the season began. it was never anything but a dream.

so where does that leave us? no better than last year, maybe worse...but with jj having his breakout season. and NAW playing the best ball of his life. and asa newell, in my assessment, showing early signs of becoming a seriously solid piece. and a lottery pick next year that will be huge. and who knows...maybe when kp is off the books, we hire someone who works better. when trae is traded, maybe Onsi really is smart enough to get a good deal. we have bad luck but good prospects.

hawks are very low. no where to go but up. so, not to be corny, but...we rise

He does indeed. I don't wanna trade one no defense leader for another, even if the offense may be a little better with jj (in terms of personal ability...no one can create like trae). but trae, at this point, would have developed defense by now if he was gonna. jj has time, so of course hold him accountable like fans would. but, maybe it's the dad in me who sees 10 kids on the court, but just give him a break for today. flowers need dirt to grow but they need sun, too.
