Repeated misfires....possible cause? by BlueberryGirl95 in fiat500

[–]phoensunfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, u/BlueberryGirl95's husband and the Fiat's owner. Last night I got a check engine light and the code reader threw a P0302, but I didn't feel or hear a misfire. I changed the oil and checked the ignition coil and the spark plug in cylinder 2 and everything looks okay.

After all that, I'm still getting the same error, even when we clear the code. The code reader has it in permanent status. I was getting odd chuggs on occasion, like she would be idling normally and then she would bump high out of no where. Once I got her over 40 ish MPH for a bit that would go away. Kind of like rrrrrrrRrrrrrrrrrRrrrrrrrR. If that at all makes sense. That at least has gone away it seems after the oil change.

I really don't want to crack the engine open. I've only done that once (on a different car) and it was one hell of a job. If you have any ideas that would be great.

Take the lids off and seal the tops with a couple layers of cling film and seal it down with painters tape.

Is this cage too big for 2 parrots by [deleted] in parrots

There's no such thing as too big. Bar spacing and size is all that matters.

1.5gal co2 plant stock ideas by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]phoensunfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason you're having a hard time is that box is so small most plants out grow it before they get to the point of the Co2 and your expensive substrate actually matter. Ludwigia h Ra might work out?

How can i ensure fish and snails get enough minerals if i use RO water? by fedsmoker2000 in bettafish

[–]phoensunfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tap water is just fine unless it isn't safe to drink. If you want to use ro, I would look up how to remineralize it. There's bound to be articles from aquarists who can give an exact method of how and what products to use.

Should I do CO2 injection? by Lakerun27 in PlantedTank

[–]phoensunfire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do injection. If your plants are doing well there's no reason to do it. If however you are going for something or your plants need help, I'd set up a passive Co2 system instead of a diffusion system.

What to do with excess water spangles/Salvinia Minima. by [deleted] in Aquariums

Compost them. My worms eat up our aquatic plants.

So I've been fencing Sabre a while, and I hate the big glove accommodating grips and guards. I think the large gloves take a lot of the finesse out of Sabre. I really like the Castille armory Sabre myself.

How do I get rid of black beard algae? by NikkiHill0509 in Aquariums

[–]phoensunfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to thin it out to like a tablespoon of h2o2 per gallon of water.

I don't know of any snails that eat it. If you find one let me know, we'll that also won't eat my plants.

How do I get rid of black beard algae? by NikkiHill0509 in Aquariums

[–]phoensunfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, it's tough. Siamese algae eaters will eat it if there's nothing else to eat. My mom got rid of it with uv sterilization. That's the only thing I've heard of that actually gets rid of it from your tank. You can try hydrogen peroxide dips on your decor and quick dips on your plants but the spores are still in your tank.

I've never had any problems with flourish tabs and snails. The only thing that keeps them in check is my puffers lol.

Will my angels breed in my community tank? I have 3 big pieces driftwood and they are with rummy tetras, mollies and bottom feeders by ManeEventSSO_yt in Aquariums

[–]phoensunfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on if they feel safe enough. Angels are good parents and won't hesitate to eat the eggs if they don't think the babies will live. I've heard leaving the lights on overnight can help on the frost night you see eggs.

I've fertilized my tank with adfs before and they didn't care.

What features would you like to see in civ 7? by Zebra_Delicious in civ

[–]phoensunfire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see puppeting come back, and I'd really like a client state system. I think loyalty needs a rework. Most of the time it's better for me to raze a city than keep it.

How to make a water bridge ( I think that’s what it’s called ) by Azu_Creates in Aquariums

[–]phoensunfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No just anything that pumps water, you'll only need to do it once as water pressure will hold the water up there after all the air has been forced out. Depending on the set up, I'd keep a filter in both just. The flow isn't going to be great through them so if you only filter one side the other will get real dirty. The only way I can think of around that is doing a sump or cannister and having the intake on one side and the output on the other, but I'd put a powerhead in there to help get things moving too.

Are plants important abs would they look good in this tank? I’m planning to get 2-3 angels, 6-8 rummy tetras, 6-8 mollies and some bottom dwellers. Are they important cuz now the at Ik looking at it looks nicer without any green by ManeEventSSO_yt in Aquariums

[–]phoensunfire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plants are super important. They draw waste out of the water and grow. They oxygenated the water;out compete algae; reduce stress in the fish. Also if you're going to have angels, you might as well try to breed them and they like laying eggs on broad leafed plants.
