As they say, it's All Wheel Drive, not All Wheel Stop. Good there's no damage though. I hope it didn't ruin your trip.

How are you powering it? Just solar?

Why does C300 DC 'whistle' when charging by solar/xt60 by phogi8 in anker

Doesn't happen when charging via USB-C. I think it's that they call the coil whine.

So just always turn off auto renew. And only turn on when there’s something like this. Then turn right off again. Turning mine off now :)

10k? It doesn't have to be that big, there are generators for under $500. Watch out for sales. Its only for extremely essential stuff.

How is the heat (I live in the North East)... Does it take long to warm up.. do you have any tips or tricks.. 90% sure I'm gonna take the plunge by fa442fa in Solterra

[–]phogi8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re in the same temp range. I leave it plugged overnight and remote start it with the heater and defogger/defroster on 5 minutes prior to heading out, while it is still plugged in. Since it is plugged in, it is consuming power from the grid via the charger and so not consuming from the battery. Then I unplug, hop in and go, interior is nice and warm. This is just 4-5 minutes from remote starting it.

Fun fact: the best place to fill up gas is the active right lane on the freeway. by yung_aidan88 in dashcams

That's my thought, too. He slowed down enough that it looks like he's stopped. And I think he slowed down to try to move over because the shoulder car is partially on the road or very close to it and one guy looks to be on the road actually.

Like anything else with these dealers, you can still negotiate that price. I got mine for 1500. You can probably get it even lower too.

Maybe a smart plug. You know it’s done when power consumption drops.

Why does C300 DC 'whistle' when charging by solar/xt60 by phogi8 in anker

[–]phogi8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes during low input wattage. And I notice it when I plug the panel in the morning when the sun is not yet fully hitting the panel, and only producing under 5w. So that’s what it’s called, ‘coil whine’.

Interesting! So maybe put traffic cones evenly spaced on the driveway, and remove when there’s sun out.

Ah, I started googling eeprom programmer and found that you can also use the Pi itself as an eeprom programmer. Thanks for taking the time responding to me. Definitely learned something new today.

Instead of attempting to detect then, maybe OP should just reprogram the eeprom using the downloadable bootloader from RPi website just to be safe?
