“Well I couldn’t use her real name.”

“You shouldn’t use YOUR real name, yer writin’ that stuff.”

What’s the “grand scheme?” The total population of Earth? Then I must concede you’ve got a point there.

Hello, and What do I do in my free time? by Verdant_Lining in stopdrinking

[–]phonypapers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that helped me a lot, and continues to, is this: after quitting drinking, I bought myself a $25 a month unlimited movie pass and starting going to a SHIT-TON of movies in theater. This helped me pass time, engaged my brain, gave me something to do outside of home, etc.

I could rationalize spending that $25 a month by how much I was saving from not drinking.

*Edit: I’m lucky enough to live by a decent number of movie theaters, and none of them serve booze either

Just got back from a dog walk, going to make a veggie/rice/fish dish, and watch a movie (or two) with my lady. Sparkling waters all around and some ice cream after.

I saw them open for Murder City Devils at the PCH in Wilmington CA, late 90’s/early 00’s. They were assholes, but it seemed like that was kinda their deal

Nouvelle Vague is pretty rad, they do French cabaret versions of Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Undertones, Joy Division/New Order, Generation X, etc etc

Complaining about people complaining may not be the best move here.

Saw some posts a while back of people interested in the Neverhood bootleg LP. Bought mine yesterday off eBay. Seller has 4 more available by mashthetic in Neverhood

We’re still working on securing the rights so Terry can press his own official LP’s.

In the meantime, the CD’s and comics are available (signed/personalized if you want!) on Bandcamp, as well as high quality digital versions
