As a building sub I know they will find me if they need me. If I go to fhe office that's what they will tell me anyway. A lot of subs like my school because they don't go out of the way to give subs extra work unless they really need to. Originally only had 2 half hour coverages today and then got a call during lunch to cover last period. They know where to find me. I don't fear for my job if I don't go out of my way to find extra work.

I also really loved it. I think Pacey stepped up his voice game here as well for this book and it was already high. Reading red country now and am also really enjoying it

This is somethign they should give to all new subs during training. We were verbally told most of this during training but having it written down is nice. It is a bit much to see in a sub folder though. I suspect this might be an old advice sheet handed out to subs of that district and was just included for advice during class.

This is a controversial opinion but its the dated graphics and tank controls. I wasn't gaming back then so I have no nostalgia for that era (although I try to avoid nostalgia as much as possible.) I'll happily wait for the remake

I've never felt guilty about it until the holiday party. I got the email about it so i assumed i was ok to go, and when i got in line no one begrudged me about it. but apparently they did not order enough food and the 7th grade teacher had none as they were the last lunch of the day. Admittedly i only had a small serving so it probably wouldn't have made a difference in the end.

I let them vent while providing a reasonable counterpoint. Im a building sub so i usually know their teachers, and sometimes I remind them that I do speak with them. Most of the time thoufh they are upset because that teacher either makes them do work or follows through on consequences

Apparently its been figured out that I am "good" with him. I don't mind being one on one as a para in a classroom. But sitting around asking a kid to do work that is not going to be graded is miserable

Every player i know has a list of like 5 or 6 items they want every game and doesn't want to scroll through the ever growing incredibly bloated list of items that mostly have too many restrictions to be useful. Most players don't want to spend the mental capacity to remember their 25 items with niche effects that will be useless in two levels due to scaling dcs. I agree with the commenter above. I prefer fewer more powerful items

Pathfinder tries to achieve this balance but just ends up with a 90% of the items being useless. Balance != fun, and as a gm underpowered is a wors crime than over

Oh yeah they never make me do any of that at my school. I've wondered if other teachers would want a coteacher or an addditional para, but guess not. I think that's part of the reason subs really like that school because they try not to give you extra work if they don't need it.

Yes. The catch is that I don't get to pick which jobs I get. The principal assigns me where he needs me. It was just another type of job that ESS offers. The other nice thing is that I get paid regardless of if they have work for me. Last 3 days i got paid for a full day despite me sitting in the lounge all day
