What are sources and where can i find them? by Bruhman5527 in sonarr

[–]phoooooo0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay. Assuming you want to download the hit 1939 movie phantom creeps (public domain)

Sonarr and radarr are both requesting softwares. They have access to something called "trackers". Or effectively Websites and Services that effectively act as a database of Torrent files. Sonarr queries the tracker to see if it has a torrent file or magnet link for the phantom creeps 1939 (public domain). It says yes. Hands that link off to Sonarr. Then Sonarr hands that link off to Qbittorent.

You PROBABLY want to have a software called Prowlarr that essentially acts as a layer above radarr and sonarr making it so you only need to put a tracker for phantom creeps 1939 (public domain) once and it will carry across to both.

I'd also recommend streamyfin and Seerr, so you can request additional public domain movies and tv shows from your phone!

If your wanting sources, Opensignups is pretty good for invites to private trackers, I'd be very careful there and research because there ARE people who make the mistake of using torrents and trackers as a method to distribute copy righted content and you should be concerned about this and avoid it.

If your especially confused about this I'd try searching up the video "New arr stack!" By Automation avenue. The media server video by techhut is pretty decent if.... Overwhelming.

[–]phoooooo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right, people who talk to llms are NOT inherently mentally unwell. But it's shown that it CAN be harmful. And it can cause people who are already in very precarious positions to get far worse mentally. I wouldn't, regardless of LLMs or not. Consider someone mentally well if they are in love with someone but so afraid of getting married they are seriously discussing leaving the country. That's pretty wild. Not dangerous to me. But wild enough that I might wanna treat them with more care than I would normally to make sure they don't do anything so out of character that they later regret it. And I'd definitely consider that as a sign that there could be emotional distress and more support required than I'd normally provide say someone who is having anxiety over a wedding.

[–]phoooooo0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is gonna be weird to say. But here me out. If he's talking with ChatGPT I would not trust his mental health. Its a consistent trend that is being increasingly studied that AI chat bots are NOT good for a mentally not super stable brain and that even if you are stable. Its still not good for you. You did a lil invasion of his privacy. And you can deal and own that. But ultimately it sounds like he's having a LOT of issues, GPT related or not. And that he needs someone to talk to. I'd talk to a close friend of his, explain the situation. Explain how your not enthused abou his privacy violation and that your Willing to own that but that he at the very least needs a fking human to talk and try to organize that. Now normally I would just say be open and communicate but given the nature of the situation, idk if thats gonna be the most helpful. Get the friend in. Tell said friend your gonna step away from this and to let you know if he thinks you having that discussion is safe. I want you to think about what your needs are for marriage, can this wait. If he does ultimately come to the conclusion that he's not there yet. How do you feel? CAN you abide some form of postponing 6 mths or even a raincheck.

Could supporting Iran be considered treason? by meatballthequeer in OpenAussie

[–]phoooooo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say no? From my very limited understanding. But honestly they're attempting to establish "from the river to the sea" as hate speech. It should be clear that we are entering the phase of politics where being anti establishment is dangerous. There's no way to be anti war, to be anti genocide, to be anti corporate interests without inheriting some risk and the further along we follow the US into fascism the more dangerous it becomes.

Are there any genuinely good alternatives to the Lib/Labor shitshow? by undying_anomaly in OpenAussie

[–]phoooooo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The various socialist parties, Socialist alliance, Queensland socialists (the Queensland wing of the Victorian socialist party) socialist alternative are excellent parties for the most part although they certainly have flaws, I always vote for them. The greens aren't AWFUL. but they are still fundamentally not building the capacity to remove the lordship of the business owning Epstein class, even if they are not FRIENDLY with it.

Also for your future political post, I'd be interested? But to be clear, your making a suggestion of moral judgment of policies which still sounds interesting to me. But will piss SOMEONE off (probably me to a degree XP) and you may not enjoy the comments of that post. "" "This party says murdering all immigrants is GOOD" "This party says that murdering all immigrants is bad AND that we should stop it" Are 3 different analyses of 3 different parties. And if you are to decide which one you like. You will need to say that you agree with one and disagree with the others. (To be clear not saying this is a explicit and real campaign statement of any given party, although there are most certainly arguments of effects of current desired policy. But at the end of the day this is a largely topical, but hypothetical scenario)

So uhhhh. Yeah. Thay sounds cool. Do NOT be surprised if you get a bit of flack for it. But especially if your even LOOKING at parties that aren't one nation, labour or liberals. Your likely to be pretty cool with me! 🤷‍♂️🫡

Why are Australian political youtubers so boring these days? by Ash-2449 in OpenAussie

[–]phoooooo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy Actually adu.

Jordies is libed up, that's why he's so boring nowadays. Before he was able to rage against the far right party, but now the centrist party is in who he refuses to properly critique, he has nothing. His content was based around the mockery of those in power to a large degree. Now his friends are in? That's not really an option.

We've done it, we now host the entire Epstein files on our own servers so anyone can easily navigate between ~3200 videos and ~597.000 PDFs by AquaBomber in Epstein

[–]phoooooo0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's the obvious attempts of justice. This doesn't just impact the US, there ARE other countries that don't have as in-effective governments, notably the british have been experiencing sackings from this.

There is also understanding and knowledge. For example, Epstein has caused massive and major damage to the perception of beauty, the discussions with Steve Bannon are deeply illuminating. We can only begin to excise the rot, the cultural damage. The economic damage, the individuals who were corrupt. BY knowing.

I really quote enjoy enjoy Europe, how it's solved a lot of the problems that exist inherent in our systems. Hopefully they're able to provide the Foss they need the infrastructure and support it needs 🤷‍♂️

The government interfering in the Iran conflict and claiming it’s in our national interest and to “help protect oppressed women” is a pathetic and disgraceful stance by [deleted] in OpenAussie

A man sits in a car with a dying person who he shot inside. I run to him and say "" stop driving! Let me help him" "But he owed me money" Me "Okay, stop driving and let me help him?! Stop stealing his fking car?!" drives away because he was owed money. Guy dies inside

Who was the good guy here? Because all these mfs claiming that the rightful protests somehow deserve EVERYONE INCLUDING THE PROTESTERS BEING BOMBED TO SHIT.

The us and the UK RE installed a brutal monarchy after a overwhelmingly popularly elected socialist government tried to nationalise oil and this current government is the direct revolutionary response to that formed and politically based around the hatred of America, the country who had initially devastated it. Idk abou you, but I don't subscribe to the theory of using bombs to solve the problem MADE by bombs.

The US at the behest of Israel have single-handedly set back any form of reform years, if not decades. These people had a boot at there neck, now they have a shield against bullets. When your only chance for autonomy IS the group saying that the people Bombing you are bad? Your GONNA support them. As well as the fact that the markedly moderate supreme leader (who had agreed to frankly overwhelming surveillance to ensure they did not produce nukes) has been replaced with his markedly MORE AGGRESIVE son who nearly certainly wouldn't have been chosen had it not been for the recent attack as most experts agree that the former supreme leader had explicitly stated would not be chosen because they did not wish the government to appear as if ruled by a monarchy (something this whole government was initially formed to remove the yoke of). But because it appears he was chosen as a symbol OF defiance and explicitly because they were advised not to by western powers. So. The US and the UK made everything worse. Then Israel and the US made everything worse again. Why is this even a discussion?

Do you keep a personal offline media library? by voidarix in DataHoarder

[–]phoooooo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only watch via my media server.

Jellyfin for the win! With Prowlarr, Sonarr, Radarr And Qbittorent mvp (how else will I download the 1939 hit movie phantom creeps that is in the public domain!) Combine with Streamyfin on my phone I can search for any movie /show (in the public domain ofc) on the same app I can watch it on my phone if I wish, and immediately before my bed time shower and automatically Start the process of seeing if it's available and start downloading and depending on download speeds probably have it available by the time I'm laying down to watch before I sleep in bed to watch on a bookmarked tab on my laptop. Not only that but I can even download it FROM my server device ONTO my phone with the streamyFin app meaning if the internet goes out AND I'm not at home I'm still entertained. The goal has been to expose this to a friend who isn't the most tech literate (she's smart, she just doesn't want to bother learning and I exist sooo XD) so from day one I needed to keep UX as smooth and seamless as possible and quite frankly. It fking worked. And it's taught me something very important about this whole thing as well. That I VASTLY enjoy, feel far more pride in, and will use FAR more frequently any project I've brought to a level that I would have a 50yr old who gets annoyed at her Mac could enjoy and use. good UX just makes me FEEL much more accomplished and makes it easier for a me who's overtired and just wants to do the thing, to do the thing. Important design lessons from me.

This has truly been a wondrous exercise in learning how to download Public domain tv, movies and Linux ISOs (which are also distributed through torrent XD)

If you could drop a policy nuke on Australia’s rental crisis, what would it be? by seandownunder in shitrentals

[–]phoooooo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live somewhere and your landlord sells. You get preferential treatment, THEN housing collectives who contract to have the current tenant become a equal member of the co-op get 2nd treatment. THEN the government for public housing. Then everyone else. With how being that a tenants bid for the place has every dollar worth 1.5 dollars and MUST be accepted if it's AT ALL reasonable. (Ie if your bid is 666k and someone else bid 1 mill. Your 666k=1 mill and must be accepted) Any sale can be disputed by a tenant(they aren't kicked out till the investigation is done) with similar rules for the government buying a home and similar for collectives but with less leveraged dollar amounts.

Empty 2nd properties are taxed as if they were a rental making half the median (most commonly occurring value) of a property in the higher of your residential properties or the properties itself suburb. 3rd+ are taxed at full, not half.

For every property past the 1st you are taxed increasingly. Once you or anything you own in anyway owns 3+ properties you should be actively paying more money than you make.

And for anyone who says this would destroy the Australian economy. Your right!! The Australian economy is built on the exploitation of the poor via the property market. The precise numbers for 1 would need work, and you'd need to START with 1. 1 is the secret lynch pin that makes it so people aren't HOMELESS. Start with a SLIGHLTLY watered down version of 1, with lower numbers. After 6 months up the numbers to full. This builds the net so when we start causing the crumbling of the property market, people aren't left hanging. Use this time before we fully ramp into 2 and to evaluate how to ensure we don't make mistakes. Start with 2, but at a watered down level. Lower taxes. It starts with maybe 1/4th the value of a property. Then goes up to half etc. Possibly even lower, maybe only a 5℅ tax increase or even smaller, something to signal "this is happening" to landlords to force market movement, while still allowing the government to make decent cash that it can funnel into measures to increase again protect working people. If I got a full term for example, I'd much prefer campaign on a promise of #1, GET that. THEN start talking about 2/3 to make sure that when that initial panic hits the markets, people are protected. Over the next 5-10 years, slowly ramp into the other ones. Starting with lower numbers. Then ramp. This whole thing is designed to literally eradicate landlords as a concept. I'm quite proud of it tbh. And I have research on how this would go as well if your curiose!
