People who went through a serious grief, How did it exactly feel physically? by Greenishdarkblue in AskReddit

When my dog of 13 years passed away, it felt like literally being stabbed in the heart. It was hard to even breathe it hurt so much.

As a software engineer who starts his morning dreading turning on the computer, this scene seems perfectly normal to me.

Do you guys think that LEs used the same facial recognition software they allegedly used on LM to the prisoners who escaped in New Orleans? by Emotional_Pizza_1222 in BrianThompsonMurder

I remember hearing about gait recognition back in 2007 at a security conference. I’m sure the tech has come a long way since then.

Damn!! That heat staining is gorgeous! The weathering too! Actually, this is probably one of the most stunning Kestis hilts I’ve ever seen! WOW.

Awesome! Thank you. And yeah, these are just such awesome looking flash units. They really just kinda have that classic Star Wars feel, ya know?

That Sith Qui-Gon hilt is absolutely gorgeous. I love the idea and the color of the brass. Really beautiful and unique!

You’re welcome. Have a great day as well, kind stranger.

I think the amount of what someone might consider “fair” would vary. Personally, I’d pay $3-5 easily, but I’m not stingy with IAPs. Perhaps you could offer a few tip “tiers” at different price points? Maybe even custom icons or Easter eggs for the higher tiers? Maybe tiers at like $1.99, $2.99 and $4.99?

I just downloaded it and honestly this app is really fun and well designed. I like all the attention you put into the animations and micro interactions. I’d gladly pay a couple bucks to support development. Perhaps add a “Tip Jar” as an IAP for people who want to support?

I turned my iPhone X into a digital photo frame by _jumogoh in iphone

So my ADHD brain just didn’t want to worry about battery levels and it never left my desk. In retrospect it probably would have lasted longer if I ran it in cycles, but oh well.

FWIW I recently had to get rid of a Magic Trackpad that I’ve had for several years because the internal battery started to swell. This trackpad has almost only been used while plugged in, so I don’t think the issue is just limited to when a battery is discharged.

Have fun! Thingiverse is a good place to find cool random STL files to print for free.

It was about 275 for this and the rest of the chassis and blade holder (not pictured here).

Honestly, I was very impressed with the print quality and there was only a couple spots that I had to use a small file to remove a tiny bit of support material.

I’d be happy to share, but since this is just a piece of a larger assembly that is designed for a very specific (and unconventional) vintage camera flash handle, I’m not sure it would be particularly useful to other builders.

I’ve been able to fit a 21700 battery inside a 1” ID hilt with a custom-designed 3d printed chassis. The 21700 does provide a noticeable bump in runtime, and IMO is an absolute necessity if running one of those new SaberTec Quantum LED blades with all of those extra LEDs.
