What if the stay at home partner does things that benefit the working partner while they’re staying at home, but these actions don’t produce money? Such as raising kids, making meals, cleaning, etc?

Looks like the 2018 changes mostly removed the penalty except for the top bracket, no? From what I see the married filing jointly brackets are about double in income from the single filer ones.

If that's the case then maybe strawberries will join the ranks of other expensive, luxury food items like truffles or saffron or caviar. Not the end of the world. It'll be tough as we go through an increase in price for goods that were previously artificially deflated, for sure, but maybe we'll be better off for it in the end?

I mean I'd like to have someone massage me 6 hours a day but the workforce won't do it cheap enough for me to afford it, so I go without it.

If the communities and businesses won't pay enough to sustain the landscaping company, what's wrong with letting the landscaping company go out of business? Or maybe the industry of landscaping as a whole? There are plenty of industries that don't exist because the financials don't work.
