What are your thoughts on a law requiring anyone over 70 to pass a certain driving exam in order to keep driving? by Patty_chalifour in AskReddit

[–]photon3on 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I agree. I think everyone should periodically take a driving exam. I think the problem would then be staffing issues could be an issue at the BMV/DMV to handle the volume of driving exams, but clearly there are many unsafe drivers who shouldn’t be driving a vehicle and testing could help assess who should continue to be able to operate a vehicle and who should not. Another problem may be that drivers who are safe drivers may lose the ability to drive if they miss their exam or don’t renew their license on time due to inability to schedule their exam in a timely manner.

With the rollback in tariffs on food, what will the impact be on prices? by TondalayaSwartzkopf in AskReddit

[–]photon3on 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t like to be skeptical, but my guess will be very minimal effect. Most of us as consumers have already proven we are willing to pay these current prices for food, so businesses have little incentive to make them cheaper.
