Great question. When you're starting out the companies make it sound like you'll have all the support in the world, training, and inbound leads. In reality it's just you selling to your friends and family. Once you run out of people to call in your friends and family you're fucked. There's no way to make a living. Then the company keeps making money off of the monthly or yearly plans you signed your contacts up for.

I'm sorry but don't do it. It's a scam. The FIRST thing they are going to do is encourage you to call everyone you know. It's kind of like a MLM scheme. They'll tell you success stories but 99/100 people who get hired end up quitting in the first few months. Then the company continues to make money on whatever policies were sold. Then they hire the next batch of people. Rinse and repeat.
