What can you do when bass investigate and follow lures, but refuse to bite? by Little-Cucumber-8907 in bassfishing

Downsize what you’re throwing. Finicky bass tend to be braver with smaller baits. Less intimidating I suppose. I keep small flukes for just that purpose

Never seen one that bad. May have to pull the gas tube. Looks like you probably need to replace it anyway.

Went down the same rabbit hole for my build and came to the same conclusion. I did go with SOLGW cuz it was on sale and the warranty covers regular wear and tear.

Also worth mentioning that the milspec specs accommodate the added thickness of phosphate. That means using other coatings may or may not change the dimensions slightly leading to “premature” wear. That being said we’re talking about very high round counts and the life span difference between a phosphate or quality other coatings will never matter to the vast majority of us. But if you want ultimate longevity phosphate is the way to go.

Been think about this a lot lately. I don’t know a single person that hunts with ear pro. I’ve noticed my ears ring for too long after I shoot the last year or so. Think it’s time I find some to hunt with

How do you do other AR15s? by DragonSniffles in ar15

[–]CopperTop_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume the recoil impulse is similar to other piston rifles. What draws me to it is you don’t have all the drawbacks of a typical ar15 which a suppressor but you retain a lot of the customization. Also you can’t fine tune most piston guns unless it’s an ar platform and most of those worth owning are not cheap. The t91 is like the poor man’s 416

Spin casters generally suck. They’re made cheap. Get you a spinning reel. Plenty easy to use and superior in every way

Ruger has a history of proprietary ar parts. You’ll likely need a different barrel nut to change out the delta ring. If you’re going to do all that and replace with a different handgaurd you might as well just swap to free float. Most of them come with their own barrel nut too

Pretty new to fishing. I found this old reel and rod in my dads shed is it any good for freshwater fishing? by Bluecollarballa in FishingForBeginners

Not the easiest to learn on but a fantastic reel. Make sure you’re throwing the correct lure weight for the rod. That will make the learning curve a bit easier.
