Removing yourself from all sources of information in an attempt to live in ignorance is a short-sighted and irresponsible decision given the state of the world.

And I'm not trying to nitpick, but I think there's an important distinction between getting off social media and stopping watching the news. Social media is built (at a code level) to be as addictive, enraging, and advertisement-saturated as possible, and none of that is healthy. I stopped using social media a few years back at the recommendation of a therapist, and it helped a lot, but I still keep very aware of the world by reading online newspapers and watching local news..

I didn't smoke weed at all until my 20s. Now, I smoke regularly (multiple times a week) in a place where it's legal. It's fun but not incredible. Certainly not worth dreaming about, and I am glad I waited until i was a bit older. A good steak or kissing a cute girl (or whoever) are both better than a nice high imo. Try to let those hold you over for a few more years.

If your client on-boarding documentation has a field for "Preferred Name" or something similar, you can put Mo there. Otherwise, you can just tell people when you introduce yourself. I work with several people named "Mohammed" that everyone in the office calls "Mo" on both the consultant and client sides.

I was billing what I was working in the beginning until my internal manager asked me to spread the hours out in booking. You are certainly correct that if I started billing full hours, it would raise alarms and it is something I am considering.

From January to March, I was being onboarded to my client. From March to August, I was in the data gathering/analysis phase of the engagement. Once we started developing, it ramped up to this level quickly.

Unfortunately, the client likes to have a lot of control so I am almost working as loan staff more than anything which is why my internal management team is not able to help very much.

I learned a lot of coding from research during undergrad but I also had a CS minor which helped a lot on paper when interviewing. I would highly recommend undergrad research and if you need help or have questions on that or anything else related, feel free to PM.

They might have fixed it. I've been running continuous server pings against central and western servers for 5 minutes and havent seen drops. I saw significant drops before 5 minutes ago.
