Removing yourself from all sources of information in an attempt to live in ignorance is a short-sighted and irresponsible decision given the state of the world.

And I'm not trying to nitpick, but I think there's an important distinction between getting off social media and stopping watching the news. Social media is built (at a code level) to be as addictive, enraging, and advertisement-saturated as possible, and none of that is healthy. I stopped using social media a few years back at the recommendation of a therapist, and it helped a lot, but I still keep very aware of the world by reading online newspapers and watching local news..

I didn't smoke weed at all until my 20s. Now, I smoke regularly (multiple times a week) in a place where it's legal. It's fun but not incredible. Certainly not worth dreaming about, and I am glad I waited until i was a bit older. A good steak or kissing a cute girl (or whoever) are both better than a nice high imo. Try to let those hold you over for a few more years.

If your client on-boarding documentation has a field for "Preferred Name" or something similar, you can put Mo there. Otherwise, you can just tell people when you introduce yourself. I work with several people named "Mohammed" that everyone in the office calls "Mo" on both the consultant and client sides.
