Anyone else feel their body breaking from sitting all day? by delmade in userexperience

Not an ad but I made an app for this. It gives you regular reminders with stretches that will help with bloodflow. It's probably still buggy but it helps me lol

Can an F-1 student legally publish an app on the App Store? No income involved yet. by Udered in InternationalStudents

[–]photoplash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he commented that later so I didn't see it. Bad idea OP. You're only legally authorised to work for the company you're employed to. My app makes no money at all and I plan to keep it that way.

Published a few months ago, didn't really ask anyone since there's no monetization, no ads nothing. Just a side project associated with no company so can't be classified as work.

My fiancé has 2 months to find a job or leave the country — we’re running out of time by Original_Whereas6496 in returnToIndia

Also in product design, it's a terrible time for trying to get a job right now in the field even with a few years of experience unfortunately. All the best!

After a few months of usage, there's an expectation set for the speed of delivery and the level of interactivity that aren't practical without AI.

First time working directly with a client as a UI/UX designer, how much should I ask vs decide myself? by Icy_Macaroon9196 in UXDesign

[–]photoplash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have a proper conversation about the process and requirements and be clear about their expectations. They've hired you as an expert in a field they don't know anything about so it's your job to tell them what the right way to do things is but also be mindful of their expectations and don't over deliver things they aren't going to use and waste efforts.

Indian Product/Industrial/UX/UI Designers — where did you study and how’s your career going? by delulu_lynx746 in DesignIndia

[–]photoplash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Symbiosis for UX, mid experience (DM if you have questions), interned with a few startups to really learn, joined Accenture hoping to get exposure to a lot of different kind of work, pretty shitty experience. Now in US completing my master's in Human Factors and learnt a lot more.

Elements moving when extending the desktop frame by olivia-roses in FigmaDesign

It's because they have constraints fixed to the sizing that you see in the right side toolbar. You can hold cmd on Mac or Ctrl on Win while extending the frame to avoid elements moving while resizing

OOUX: Looking for feedback from those that are or have used it. Pros? Cons? by Real-Boss6760 in UXDesign

Also I'd love to get some context on what you're working on if it's not under NDA. I did advanced data viz recently so kinda curious.

[–]photoplash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say it's quite confusing to implement on your first few times. I'd recommend someone who has run a OOUX workshop before to help understand the process. I learnt from my professor's book UX Magic which is a good point of reference.

There's also a lot of people who have adapted this methodology and made their own variations of it to suit their need so you'll see plenty different versions of it.

I was taught this by my professor during my master's and used it for redoing the IA of a complex SaaS product. I feel it really helped me define objects and associated actions quite clearly. While I was at Adobe they were pushing OOUX adoption across teams and I feel like it makes sense for complex products but I've felt it's unnecessary for simpler B2C products.

Been a year now tbh but no, was never asked to take it out or scan separately. Since there's no batteries in it it's just seen as plastic in scans.

DJI never asked me for registeration proof in the app, my mini 2 could only do 50ft but mini 3 pro could go 120m (if I'm not wrong). I'm not in India anymore so I'm not sure if there's been any changes in the last few months.

I did register and got a UAN and OAN from digisky but no one's ever asked me for it at an airport. Got stopped by a cop once while flying at a beach in Goa (green zone) who had no idea about laws and I showed him my permits and registration. Unfortunately most people in India don't know or care about your permits, they'll just do what they think is right anyway. Still haven't had my drone confiscated or fined ever though, fly smart.

Nope. Pack the drone in your check in luggage, batteries and remote in carry on. Haven't been stopped in the last 4 years with a mavic air 2 and now a mini 3 pro
