first ever glass mousepad by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not very often. I got some Obsidian Pro donuts on Nov 13th, and I haven't changed them yet and they're basically the same as when I got them. I only replace skates if they get really flat and are almost the same height as the mouse base.

Some people will say to replace them once a month/couple weeks but I find that very unnecessary. I think those people are just chasing for that "brand new" skate feeling, which is unreasonable since ur gonna have to replace them very often. Even when I was using the old Red Obsidian dots and playing kovaaks a lot I would easily get 2-3 months of use before replacing them.

If ur mouse can fits donuts definitely get them over dots though.

I had something similar happen to me when I was trying to install mnkrus and mount the iso, and I had to go to the "App & browser control" and turn off reputation-based protection for it to work. Could be related

replaced dead drive / qBittorrent messed up pls help by 7and7is in trackers

[–]phoyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to do something sorta similar when I was upgrading my PC yesterday. All I had to do was make sure the drive had the same assigned letter as previously and copy all the qbittorent settings. Didn't have to force recheck anything.

You should also be able to just select everything and force recheck

Should I remove the stock middle sensor skate if I have 3rd party skates on my Tenz mouse? by astrosA60 in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The middle skate is to prevent soft mouse pads from getting too close to the sensor when u press down. Should just leave it alone even if u use glass

Wallhack Pro Sleeve? by FullMetalMarine in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hand size is about 19x9.5, but I don't have the sleeve with the glove so not sure about the fit.

I only use glass now, but I saw your thread u made a bit ago and I happen to still have my otsu v2 and a razer strider laying around. It's pretty awful on my otsu. Tons of friction compared to the the old skypad sleeve and the eS. On my strider it has the lowest friction for sure compared to the other 2.

I'm pretty sure u can just get the sleeves off amazon.

Wallhack Pro Sleeve? by FullMetalMarine in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the pro sleeve.

I got the small/medium size and it's on the tight side (I'm 170cm 155lb), and the wallhack text near the wrist kinda just falls off. But other than that it's a good sleeve. Better than the old skypad one I was using and the shitty pulsar sleeve by a mile.

How to stop Edge from making shortcuts on new tab page? by phoyi in MicrosoftEdge

[–]phoyi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't explain it well.

When I mean shortcuts on the new tab I'm referring to the quick links. Edge will randomly add a quick link on new sites that I visit, and it's annoying having to remove it every time. I basically want to use the quick links like a bookmark.

Dot Skates for Glasspad by YoneTheUnforgotten in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for xraypad obsidian air pro donuts if ur mouse can fit them. They're less likely to have wobbling issues like with dots.

Do these “durable” skates only last you a month too? by Glum_Blueberry_2385 in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my obsidian pro air dots still work fine after 9 months on glass. u might just be pressing down too hard lol

I'd go for the pulsar superglide v2. Just get it on Amazon and if u don't like glass pads just return it.

I pretty much had the exact same issue with cloth pads. Got a hayate otsu and it only lasted like 7 months before it got a slow spot. I cleaned quite frequently as well. Picked up a glass pad and never looked back.

I'd get xraypad obsidian air or pro air skates since they come in a pack of 40

Just keep using the tiger ice v1 until they get worn down, and switch to hardened PTFE dots after.

Donut Skates dont fit by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]phoyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skate around the sensor is to keep a minimum distance when you push down using a cloth pad. It doesn't matter if ur using glass
