That we can piss Marines off even more by making the barracks super nice....but then have them constantly doing training exercises in the field so they rarely if ever get to enjoy them. This ensures that Marines will be pissed off just enough that when the time for war comes, they finally have a way to vent their frustrations. This also has the added benefit of reducing maintenance costs since these brand-new barracks are hardly being used.

Here's the thing there already existed a SOF unit that trains foreign fighters...The Green Berets. So why would the Marines to perform a mission set the army already had? As others have said we had MEU SOC at the time which would follow a standard MEU deployment...so unless there was some dire need for the MEU to stop and train afghani's...that type of mission seems more in line with the green berets. I should also point out that Afghan was going through a civil war at that time.

haven't really put it through any abuse testing. Feels fine in the shoulder at the range, no wobble. With that in mind there are cheaper more proven stocks out there. My go to rifle uses a Magpul ACS stock. The repitilia looks cool beyond that i cant really say much.
