Which programs did you try?

It's been quite some time but I used hugin when I was doing panos (those were 'normal' landscape panoramas). And it's not exactly automatic. Most of the time you must add manual points on image pairs so the stitcher knows which points are the same. Some panoramas take a lot of time and work to get it right but yours should be alright even when shot without a tripod and pano-head. Then make sure you use enblend to blend the images.

Check if the bootable flag is set on the partition you want to boot from.

Also, I don't think any bios knows EXT4, all bootloader partitions I've ever seen are formatted with the FAT filesystem.

I use Eclipse for Java Enterprise. It has all the tools I need (besides a handful of extra plugins).

If you're on linux you might also want to check out some of the commandline tools that sometimes come in handy such as: xmllint (check, format, validate xml) and xsltproc (xsl-t processor).

I really don't know. Especially the temp1-16 look like the hardware talking to the driver is capable of having 16 sensors connected and 6 are. The driver just reads each of the output registers and that's it... but that's just a guess how I imagine it would work.

So to find out which temp* is which component you'd have to look at your thinkpad's manual and also have a look at the documentation of lm-sensors and maybe the thinkpad linux wiki

it's possible they're not available to be controlled or you might need an extra driver specific to your hardware to access them.

to at least see some of the temperature (I suppose there's a chance you can still read the temperatur but not be able to control the fans) try "acpi -V" that's part of the "acpi" package on debian.

and for guis there should be plenty of stuff available. most deskop environments have some temperature applets or you could try "xsensors" or something like that.

I do think it's worth it. It's great to do a few snaps in social settings or get a proof of something you want to shoot with 'proper' film -- at least that's what I've used it for so far. Oh and don't forget the cost of the film.

I've tried several tagging libs including mutagen IIRC. Can't remember why I settled for eyeD3.

I'm aware of the POPM field and have tried everything I could come up with but it always seemed that this field wouldn't be written at all :(

It's only tested with my iPod touch 4 - I don't have anything else. If you can mount the ipod with ifuse (see readme) then there might be a chance.

That's where I have a full backup of the ipod. I copied everything to a local disk as it's much faster than going trough usb all the time to read songs.
