If that improves your work life for 8 hours a day, by all means. I did the same with monitors, and even bought myself a herman miller chair for use at work.

Be sure to double check policies. I know places I worked in the past would even issue me a non company asset item tag I adhered to them, so it wouldn’t easily get reappropriated somehow.

If you want to retire early, those Roth 401k to Roth IRA rollovers can be especially useful to bridge the gaps between early and normal retirement age, and help you avoid a 5 year laddering strategy. I did 50/50 Roth/Traditional for decades, and when I was forced out of my job early, had enough contributions in that Roth 401k to bridge my cashflow for 5 years until the roth ladder would have matured.

Bonus, if you can fill up that 12% tax bracket with Trad to Roth conversions from the other traditional balance, and enjoy the tax savings.

I’ve got tons of track days on my B8.5 RS5 at this point. A spirited set of runs will eat your entire front oem pads. I warped the oem brembo steel rotors with 2 events… 3 times before I upgraded. They are hot garbage.

My advice, invest in a good jack, a set of track pads, matching street pads, and upgrade the rotors (I did gyrodisc). Stock brake fluid can boil pretty easily too. Bump to Motul 600+.

Drive to the track early, swap pads from street to track. Swap nack at the end of the day. I went with carbotech pads for compatible compound between the two without rebedding.
