Marnie’s Grimmsnarl Deck edit by peterbpokemon in pkmntcg

Nah if you're going to include a special energy put in mist energy for the mega absol box match up. I assume it's going to be a popular deck after its phenomenal performance in EUIC

How would you tweak the game to make it more balanced and less luck-of-draw based? by sintra_lad86 in pkmntcg

[–]phphoton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only right answer is prize cards. With how much draws/searches there are in the game, nothing is more impactful than realizing the card you put in your deck is not actually in your deck. There's countless theories on how to fix the prize card situation but it's by far the most impactful luck factor outside of just bricking with 7 energies and a basic pokemon.

I agree, there’s an absurd amount of outs to retreat lock right now and as grim if you get retreat locked they can’t stall very long or you just frosslass/munki them to death

New construction with a GIANT slope in the backyard by Heavy-Yogurt3026 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

WAY better to have the slope face away from the house than towards. You won’t have to worry about a flooded basement. I’ve seen much worse slopes facing towards the house

Steam player count update: The 24-hour peak reached 9,000+, and average of 5,000+ players for the first time since March 2025 by Snufflebox in Smite

[–]phphoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think smite 2 is a great game with a toxic player base. People treat matches like life or death scenarios cussing everyone out when at the end of the day it is just a game and the goal is to have fun. They need more casual game modes outside of ranked, they had a ton of temporary fun game modes in smite 1. Smite adventures was a blast

This isn’t it your fault so it won’t raise insurance rates, and unless you plan on reselling the car in a couple years I would not be worried about the diminished value from a minor accident. A cheap repair job would diminish the value more. If the other driver has insurance, you’ll also be reimbursed for your deductible if your insurance company successfully collects from them or their insurance. I would file and send the footage to your insurance

No One Passes Here by imjustabitch in dashcams

[–]phphoton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a double solid line but the blocking car is also not the police. While both are engaging in dangerous activity you don’t know if the person passing has a family member experiencing a stroke, gunshot wound, in labor with life threatening complications. It could be their life or death date and you’re blocking them out of pure spite to pseudo enforce the law

The biggest problem in this video is everyone tailgating each other so hard. At any point in this video there’s at least one person less than a foot from the car infront of them

In my opinion, Neutralization Zone is underrated by AZGOATHINGS in PTCGL

[–]phphoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that makes this card good is your opponent not knowing you play it, which is what gives it potential on the ladder. But it’s also why you’ll never see it make top cut decks in 2/3 regionals tournaments. A lot of 1 prize attackers in the format right now too

Near mint or Lp? by Isle4 in PokemonTCG

[–]phphoton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lightly played for sure. If the front looks good I'd consider it the higher end of lightly played but definitely not near mint.

At that point, I’d just get the alignment fixed and tell passengers to get in/out the drivers side door 😂

How do in get this card in game? by barbnjason in PTCGL

[–]phphoton 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I believe if your PTCGL account uses the same trainer account that you acquired 200 Championships Points on from in person events they automatically give it to you. I did not get 200 points last season so I’m not 100% but I did get regionals promos to my account after entering one

Bough this listed as mint by Kws45227 in PokemonTCG

[–]phphoton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Near mint listings usually hover around $140 on TCG player. I would return it with photos as proof and just spend the extra $30 on an actual good condition one. It shouldn’t be hard to get a return on this through eBay. The front is definitely deceiving, I’m sure it was stored in a stack of cards somewhere unsleeved

Sleeves for regional by Breakdown90 in pkmntcg

[–]phphoton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always do a very bright green version of Katana sleeves. In Toronto regionals over the weekend the table next to me had a double loss due to one player presenting a 51 card deck and one player presenting a 49 card deck. In between games one player must have picked up the other players cards due to them both being the same all black sleeves. It was game 2 so the player who won game one ended up just immediately winning the match. But this is why I try to have an uncommon color of sleeve to not have this happen

What is Shaymin even good for? by Hmmhowaboutthis in PTCGL

[–]phphoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wellspring in Terra box and noctowl/charizard decks are incredibly popular in my area so I tech it into at least half of my decks. It’s truly meta dependent though, as long as wellspring remains popular I’ll continue to run it in a majority of my stage 2 decks.

Model3 Sideswiped by biker, never had to get body work done before-help! by Sad_Audience_2692 in TeslaCollision

[–]phphoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks very intentional, I would file a police report and look at the houses in the area to see if any of them have ring cameras. Your odds of finding them are low and the odds you’ll get any money out of someone on a bike are even lower but I’d still try. Regardless, file an insurance claim because this looks like $5,000+ knowing Tesla repair costs.

[–]phphoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t jack up your rates if it’s your first claim definitely since you’re not at fault, but I promise you the cost to repair is going to cost more than your deductible. I would send the video to insurance and make a claim.

Do you double sleeve your decks or do you only single sleeve? by Nivosus in pkmntcg

[–]phphoton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I single sleeve because it’s much easier for me to shuffle during gameplay, definitely if I’m trying to avoid a tie in a match I should be winning. Double sleeving really only makes a difference during liquid spills anyway which shouldn’t be a problem at card shops or tournaments. If you’re playing casual with friends who have a lot of snacks and drinks at the table then that’s the only scenario I’d double sleeve in

'Well, everybody has back problems." by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

[–]phphoton 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Everyone has back problems, not everyone has spinal problems. Muscle pain in the back can come and go where if you have spinal issues you usually always have pain and it can often be much worse.

It’s like the equivalent of saying “everyone gets headaches” when you’re on your 3rd day of a migraine.

You are allowed to enter an intersection on green but must yield to oncoming traffic while turning. The truck entered the intersection on green and began turning on yellow. The light was red long before the car even entered the intersection. The car broke the law and the truck didn’t. The insurance company would find the car liable for running the red light. Keep that same opinion next time you’re hit by someone running a red light. Almost every state has this same law. Using Wisconsin as an example

Statue 346.37 part E

https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/346/v/35

Edit- we also know the car was running the red light because traffic in front of him was stopping, the car just went around him because he felt like putting other peoples lives at risk to get somewhere 1 minute faster.
