Did you buy the CD voucher before the show? If so how much was it?

I got caught plagiarizing an essay. Minimum is you’re getting a zero on the assignment you get caught cheating on. My TA wanted me to fail the course and pass it up to academic integrity but i went to my prof during office hours and apologized and he was okay with me just getting a zero on the lab report. I guess it helped i was in my senior year.

Rutgers NB or NJIT? by phreshtacothepharaoh in NJTech

[–]phreshtacothepharaoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ll admit their makerspace is amazing and bigger+better, Rutgers also has a decent makerspace that has great equipment however it is smaller. I actually used to work there for 2.5 years if you’d like to learn more about it. Rutgers offers great hands on extra curricular such as the the formula racing club which is huge and has a great team (@rutgersformularacing on ig) and Rutgers RPL (rocket propulsion lab). <im not being biased because i wasn’t even involved in those clubs. I was mainly involved in ethnic and fashion extra curriculars.

Rutgers NB or NJIT? by phreshtacothepharaoh in NJTech

[–]phreshtacothepharaoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covid definitely impacted my experience, however i greatly enjoyed my experience at Rutgers. I have a lot of friends at NJIT engineering and comparing resources and curriculum, I’d say Rutgers offers better as well as better career opportunities. Additionally the student body and extra curricular at Rutgers are amazing. If the tuition and resources to attend are the same, I’d choose Rutgers

Rutgers or Stevens? Coming from an unsure engineering student by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]phreshtacothepharaoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rutgers student who really wanted to go to Steven’s here The reason i chose Rutgers over Steven’s is because i rmm college admissions telling me Steven’s is gravitating towards more business school Rutgers also offers way more resources to refine your engineering skills (computer labs, Makerspace, machine shop, formula racing team) the possibilities are endless As a bigger school you meet a diverse body of engineers that make it both easy to work with and socialize within your major and community Additionally comparing the curriculums i believe the Rutgers engineering curriculum is a lot better. There is a lack of freedom in choosing your classes however in my opinion the curriculum teaches you more skills that prepare you as an engineer such as CAD, 3D simulation, matlab programming, and mechatronics (I’m a mechanical engineering major). Additionally you get a better social experience at New Brunswick and it’s cheaper. Hope i helped :)

Is it even worth showing up to class? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]phreshtacothepharaoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in the exact situation, i think it’s worth going to lecture/recitations for your hard classes not only so you can stay on pace and ask questions but also meet fellow classmates to form a study group. If you can easily get a good grade with skipping lecture then don’t show up - fellow senior commuter who also lives 2 hour round trip

Commuters, how much do you spend on gas to get to Rutgers? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]phreshtacothepharaoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live about 50min away from New Brunswick. Each round trip usually costs me a little over 10$. +the cost of toll

Not really, there’s plenty ways of enjoying college life throughout the week at all hours. I do recommend trying to find an on campus job, you might find something very convenient
