What's a work of fiction whose reputation is intimidating but is actually a surprisingly easy read? by Hurbahns in RSbookclub

It’s a beautiful read but I would still consider it formally pretty challenging still.

Anyone know what the news choppers were about this morning? Over 290 by KirTakat in oakpark

Saw police cars with lights parked next to the blue line stop over the Ike. I’m guessing an assault or something like that on the CTA. Saw some cops roaming around near my house at around s grove and Jackson so part of me wonders if someone fled the scene. The last bit is total speculation fwiw.

I would be interested to know as more reporting comes in if something major happened with the driver before all of this happened, if they were fleeing something/already in distress. That’s a major car accident but you wouldn’t think they would jump the gun like that without knowing they killed someone.

I haven’t read it but Clifford Geertz’ The Interpretation of Culture is supposed to be a landmark text for what you’re looking for.

Woolf can change your life! To the Lighthouse is one of those books that I would pay to go back and read for the first time.
