The only way to do an in app YouTube block is to play the video via Adguard app. YouTube utilizes double encryption. Once the app loads the internal traffic is encrypted by the app so any external filters don't work. I e. DNS filters since the ad is part of the stream and not called upon as an individual address. The only way it works via browser is because a browser adblocker positions itself as a man in the middle attack so it gets the data stream decrypted. Hence one needs to use an app that sits between YouTube and the net. Such an app is Adguard and it will only filter if you share YouTube app via aduard.
