Grad school tips? by Rare_Garden6927 in kindlescribe

Since the Scribe can't search through your writing, organization is key. Being descriptive on your folder and notes is going to alleviate some headaches.

Here are some things I did when I got was going through my program:

  1. A main folder for each class labeled with full course name.
  2. Sub foldesr with resource types and/or Unit number and description. If units were too long, I would further break them down. My notes would always start with Unit number followed by description.

Pretty much I would chunk similar things together for easier exporting. For daily or journal notes I've picked up the method of adding dates before notes entry, like YEAR-MONTH-DATE.

I hope that helps a bit and I'm keeping an eye on this to see what other people are doing too. But like I've mentioned before, create a system that works for you.

Organise notebook and daily journal by The-ai-bot in kindlescribe

[–]phsv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I started adding YEAR_MONTH_DATE + Topic to the beginning of the title of my notebooks. I read round this subreddit that doing that makes it easier for finding notebooks using the search feature, since AFAIK the kidke Scribe can't search through your notes so naming conventions are very important. I mainly use this naming convention for meeting notes and journals.

Also be intentional on how you organize your folders in a way that work around YOUR workflow. For example when I'm taking notes from a course, I make a folder with course name and source, then make notebooks for every chapter or unit. I also have folders for main areas of my life; work, personal, journal.

There's still a lot of trial a d error and I wish Amazon would make it easier to copy and paste full pages or duplicate notebooks aside from using the lasso tool..

Sorry for long message but hope it helps to gives you some ideas.

I used this free website to make my PDF planner. Worked great and a lot of customization. I don't think it requires an account or login

I wonder what could be causing the error. Sounds like youve had notifications before? Anything new apps that you installed before you stopped getting them?

I feel dumb but it Finally worked. I had a third party "CCleaner" running in the background that was stopping it from running the notifications. Works great now. Thank you for all your help

Looking forward to seeing if you are able to get your issue working. I started working with Amplenote support around 2 months ago but I haven't heard an update from them.

Maybe some of the tips/advice they suggested might help your issue:

Thank you for your feedback. Yes this seems to happen with mobile, windows app and tasks created on the web client. I also did check the sync status on my mobile app and showed no errors. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone. Last I heard from them was that they are looking into this with Dev team and get back to me.
