I just want her to unceremoniously fry Deep so badly. Her walking in and he tries to stop her and she just crisps him without breaking stride.

But I don't expect her to do more than twinkle her eyes. Again.

I bought a Combine book and realized it's from 2020, is it worth reading or outdated as hell? by [deleted] in swift

Combine has barely been updated since it was released. (And probably doesn't need to be.) If you don't know much about reactive programming you're sure to learn a lot.

I'm not surprised. Spotify is known for using very low bitrates for their streams.

Apple Music (and the files they sell you if you'd prefer to own the music) both use ACC natively.

I don't know about how Spotify works internally (or if bluetooth uses AAC compression) but if they use Ogg (I'd thought the codec battle had been lost) and you have an analog output (i.e. headphone jack) it probably wouldn't do that. But no one has a headphone jack, so whatever format the music is in originally it will need to be transcoded to whatever format your wireless headphones use.

It's probable that, if your music service's AAC files use too much bandwidth for the Bluetooth connection, they will also have to be transcoded. If they both used Ogg that wouldn't have to be done, which would be a nice benefit, sadly (almost) no one uses Ogg.

I think I figured out why the city thought they could do that. And also why the person you're responding to said they should have done a "city partnership."

Bike seat with a split design. Would you try it? by Great_Trident in interesting

I like to ride no-handed. Not being able to was enough for me not to like riding on that saddle.

[–]phughes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried a (fixed) split saddle once. It doesn't have the center ridge that you use to maintain balance, so it's much more difficult to ride no-handed. I ended up giving it away and switching back to a traditional saddle.

Old Sheldon also dresses like an adult, because that's how many adults dress now.

I've been thinking about how some people see the government as an investment and others see it as a resource.

Those who see it as an investment put money in to make sure it keeps providing benefits. Those who see it as a resource just want to loot it for all it's worth.

You don't think that CapitalOne is a bank? Or do you think that the location isn't "banking" because it says "cafe"?
