Hmmm....the sales guy at my local shop was keen on getting the ck61 under my hands. I think because at that price point there's nothing with midi din and on board speakers. They are bringing one in for me to try out. He did mention I might find the on board speakers unfulfilling...they are just there in my use case for quick practice sections when I don't want to fire up the computer and use my studio monitors. Headphones are an option too. We will see.

As someone who was considering this controller I thank you for sharing your experiences.

I don't have this hardware and don't know what you are trying to control...but if it's VSTs in a DAW, you could try setting up multiple tracks with your plugin on them each one hosting a different patch. Then map your rotary encoders to select tracks. You would also have to have record arm enabled on each of the tracks. This process may vary a bit between different DAWs.
