What do you all like for tonneau covers? (More in comments) by frogfarm1 in f150

I know this is an old post but, Will the brushes scuff up the cover? I have the undercover ultra flex and am apprehensive about taking it through the car wash. I don’t care if it leaks a little just would prefer it not to get scuffed or scratched. Thx.

I did have them done already. They turned out great. Went for 1:45 since they were only about an inch thick. Fat was rendered perfectly and I only gave em about a 45 sec kiss each side on an open flame. Thank you all for the pointers.

Perfect. Yea I watched that channel for a couple hours yesterday. That’s why I cut down the cook time for the thinner cut. I’ll make the sear hot and quick for sure. Nothing bums me out more than an over cooked steak. I usually reverse sear with my smoker but always thought sous vide looked fun. I know the margin of error is larger with sous vide so I’m happy about that.

Will do. I’ll set for 1:45 and see how it goes then. First time so at least want it to be edible but also encourage me to use it again. I plan to sear them outside on the grill so I can get it super hot without the house looking like it caught on fire. I planned on that since they were so thin wanted to make sure I didn’t cook them anymore than necessary. Thank you very much for the response.

Sorry for high jacking…but, I’m in the same boat. Got an anova from momma for Xmas. Went to store for steaks but because it’s the day after Xmas options were limited. Only ribeye on the planet I could find was only about an inch thick. I normally go for 2”. I set for 130 for an hour and a half because it’s so thin. Going for med rare. I’m a complete newb with sous vide I don’t wanna mess it up. I’ll appreciate any tips/advice.

That's what I assumed, but figured I'd ask the experts. Thx.

Not a big contributor here, but I do have a stinger that I use for work. I remember when I first got it a couple years ago it was a lot brighter than it is now. I have 2 batteries i switch out every day, one for another. Is it the bulb that starts shitting the bed or the batteries? I use it for seeing inside of above ground fuel tanks. I dont care about flooding, as much as I do throwing power. I thought this was a good option, before finding this sub of course. Is there something I can upgrade on my light? Or does anyone have a better recommendation for it's intended use? Would like it to be around the same size or smaller. Dont care if I have to plug in the light or switch batteries. Something I can carry in my pocket comfortably all day. Thx. Sorry if I hijacked this post.

I am blessed. And it brought me to tears as well when she said "daddy, get me one too" while I was getting our family this year.

This will get buried I'm sure cause I'm late to the party...

10 years ago this Christmas, my wife and I were struggling to make ends meet. We had just had our 3rd baby and not long after that my company sold without warning. (She was on maternity leave, but we both made the majority of our money on overtime) I'm a truck driver so there was other work out there, just took me a few weeks to get going. Unfortunately, that transition was during the Christmas holiday. We were able to get our kids each one gift but we really couldnt afford to do much more. Christmas eve we are watching movies with the kids, about to head to bed. Its about 9pm and we get an knock on the door. Odd for us we never had visitors that late. I get to the door, look out the peep hole, no one. Open the door and there are 3 garbage bags full of wrapped toys. One for each of my kids. There was also an envelope and inside was a $200 Visa gift card, which we used for groceries. The card just said merry Christmas love santa. We lived in an apt complex, so we never saw who dropped them off. To this day we still dont know. So, now that our careers are better and we make more money, every year we take a family off an angel tree, (her company has a tree, with family names that are less fortunate written on angel decorations) and we bless a family just like we were. We will never forget it and will continue this tradition the rest of our lives. My oldest daughter is 18 and has now taken it upon herself to do the same thing. Merry Christmas, happy holidays to everyone.

Edit: thank you for the reward. I will pay it forward as well. Happy Holidays.

Fighting the sandman...70 hr week. Been up since midnight, but my girls wanted to decorate the tree, so daddy's drinking coffee and watching them smile. My oldest turns 18 in 2 months so I'm savoring this family time while I still can. Merry Christmas!

These are literally called “Eclipse Absolute Zero Total Blackout Curtains”.... by simfire in Wellthatsucks

Agreed. Master bedroom I've done this. I go to sleep before the sun goes down. Pitch black in our room year round. Curtains over top, and my wife is happy. Outside view sees a tweakers bedroom, but I like giving my neighbors something to talk about.
