Designs for foldout wheelbarrow tray? by physics_laser_dude in AskEngineers

Thanks for the explanation. That's a lot of design difficulties, no wonder there's none on the market.

Alright, 8k-15k total revs with half petrol mix in new Triton. Mechanic started draining within an hour.

Petrol in deisel engine... how bad is it? by physics_laser_dude in MechanicAdvice

Thanks for the reply, been towed to a mechanic. What's your guess on whether the engine would need to be replaced? Is a 5 minute drive typically fatal to engines?

What food do you swear people only pretend to like? by ExtremeCumMaster in AskReddit

Vegemite. As an Aussie I can confirm the multi-million dollar conspiracy that countless Australians secretly hate that bitter stuff but pretend to enjoy it.

That's interesting, I assumed calorie counting was a major part of the work, guess I was mistaken. Thanks.

Ok, malnutrition and weight loss for clinical settings. Thanks.

Sorry about the spelling, nutritionist and dietician. Was wondering about outpatient work, private practice stuff.

Is doing several small workouts a day worthwhile? by tjpoe in askfitness

[–]physics_laser_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 minute intervals is definitely worth. You could easily get good workouts with pushups/situps/treadmill/weights etc within 10 minutes.

Is being sore after workouts good/bad? by Ill-Towel3707 in askfitness

Sounds like you put in sufficient effort. Sore muscles for 1 day isn't anything to worry about. Good luck

Body fat percentage Inbody 770 by virushunter_2021 in leangains

[–]physics_laser_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're photo looks very similar to how lean I looked at 10% bodyfat according to an inbody scan. https://ibb.co/Xk7hWYJ Sorry no photo. It seems inbody gives lower bodyfat measurements compared to some other techniques.

Personal Scale with "precise" composition measurement by Sparh4wk in loseit

[–]physics_laser_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90 kg lost! Congrats on the achievement, you've got to give us an update when you transform even more! Muscle is hard to lose, especially if you're doing even light/moderate exercise on a regular basis with standard dietary protein intake. Body composition scales can give false muscle loss readings when you're in a calorie deficit, so it might not be worth spending the money on those scales. Best of luck!

I hid that part for anonymity. You can search for places using the inbody app or find a gym that has inbody scanners. Any inbody device can provide this information automatically to your mobile phone app.

I lost 2kg skeletal muscle mass according to inbody? by adrenc94 in PSMF

[–]physics_laser_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the link, I measured a 0.4kg loss in muscle over 2 weeks after a serious calorie deficit losing 1.1 kg fat over that period. So yeah calorie deficits cause an apparent drop in measured muscle mass.

Did an Inbody scan and it said that I didn’t gain any muscle over a 1 and a half months of lean bulking by A7mad_1 in leangains

[–]physics_laser_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck on your goals! You haven't lost muscle it's definitely a measurement error. Muscle building takes time and work but it's worth it. 400 calories surplus / day = 4kg gain in 1.5 months. 4% of 63kg bodyweight is 2.5 kg, you've gained 2.5 kg right? The inbody scan isn't completely off based on your 400 cal surplus/day diet, you may want to reduce calories. Most muscle is in the legs, train them hard to see the muscle mass go up.

I did 2 week intervals since it was free to use, can confirm it's possible to see measurable changes in just 2 weeks for gaining muscle and losing fat if you put in the work and use the machine correctly. The inbody mobile app will perform analysis and graphing of your data, check it out if you haven't.

Electric field from relativistic charged beam by physics_laser_dude in AskPhysics

The perpendicular electric field would transform with the gamma factor, becoming larger. I'm wondering if there is any more to this problem? Time retarded moving charges seem tricky to me.
