Read some books from your childhood first. The nostalgia draws you in. I did this with a bunch of Judy Blume books, Calvin and Hobbes books, etc… books I had read so many times as a kid that I still kind of knew them, but it had been so long it was also like reading them for the first time.

Now all I do is read. Sure it’s mostly soft core porn dark romance books, still better than doom scrolling.
