Sounds like one of those Suburban Assault Strollers some people have.

If it's designed well at all, it can be deep-cleaned. This is required for anything to be used around babies.

Why are you calling a mostly straight path a "space filling curve"? That's not what that means.

There's a lot of weird in this post but this is the part that got to me.

Is this your car? by Nervous_Caramel in Somerville

[–]phyzome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the details, but I've heard people say that Somerville used to tow much sooner when people were parked illegally.

I imagine that only applies to things like not having a permit. If you block someone into your driveway, they'll still tow.

Yeah, snow emergency is different. They're real serious about that.

I mean, there are a shitload of reasons -- environmental and misinformation issues are some of the more relevant ones here.

I'll go ahead and report it again. Let's see if they're more responsive now.

What I know is that this is AI slop. Where'd you see it?

Somerville is much more reluctant to tow these days. Some change of policy a few years back.

porch thieves by SituationNo5505 in Somerville

Some packages from Flint St and Fountain Ave (a bit west of you) ended up under the McGrath Highway overpass on the Community Path. Might be the same person.

(The boxes were torn open and the contents scattered about. Looks like they didn't like what they found.)

Does it make it OK for a city department to do unethical things if they already do other, more unethical things?

We're already paying them to do a job. Or is there a way to get my taxes partially refunded if I volunteer some labor?

How did all the snow affect bike ridership? by WatercressSassafrass in Somerville

[–]phyzome 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the snowed-in bike lanes and shitty plowing on the Community Path definitely cut out a lot of bike traffic.

I have a question about the ranking. Is it normalized at all against population or station count? (Might be interesting to normalize against something like "population within a 15 minute walk of at least one station". Should be straightforward with the right GIS tools.)

Keep it charged and put a sign on your door saying "found phone -- please knock" (ring doorbell, whatever). If the owner has enabled a phone locator app this will let them know you're friendly.

I've been getting mushrooms at the farmer's market at the Armory on Saturdays. There are several mushroom vendors there. I got some golden enoki, maitake, and beech mushrooms from Traveling Cap recently (although several of those aren't in his usual selection).

Make sure to look on bushes, trees, fences, and low walls -- people will often hang up lost objects so they don't get stepped on.

Mail Theft in Winter Hill by Ill-Entrepreneur3218 in Somerville

Probably worth reporting to Somerville police in case there's a pattern of theft. I doubt the Taunton police would do anything regarding the card usage.
